Gateway Online

Our students are in the field, in the pulpit, and with the lost actively working to expand God’s kingdom around the world. We get to be a source of help, training, support, and prayer for them in a unique way. These students and many others would not be able to receive theological education and ministry training without access to it through the online program. With so many students scattered and serving, Gateway Seminary is truly impacting ministries and lives around the world.

Academic Quality

The online program has not only grown over the years, but has made a strong commitment to excellence in academic quality. While students may be hard at work studying, watching videos of their professor, and writing papers online, we also create opportunities for students to go into their ministry context and learn in the field. We design each course uniquely for the online environment and leverage the fact that students are in ministry by requiring them to discuss with one another how the course content is applied in their own context. These shared experiences among students who are separated by distance highlights their connectedness in Christ and his mission as they walk through the course together.

Gateway online also caps classes around 24 so that the professor can foster meaningful relationships with students. We don't believe that theological education is simply knowledge transfer, but we aim for student transformation as they come in contact with biblical truth. Our online professors understand this high priority and take great care in connecting with students every way they can. They do not see the online students as nameless entities in cyberspace, but real people with real ministry in need of real training. They care for them, pray for them, and work to strengthen them in their ministry.
