Treasure Valley Chorale-
The Treasure Valley Chorale is a community based choral ensemble which sings various types of music from sacred and secular choral repertoire to popular songs. The choir meets on Tuesday evenings during the academic year and performs three major concerts during the season, usually with one large work performed each year, often with orchestral accompaniment. This group is o

pen to all students and members of the surrounding community. Vocal Jazz-
Our Jazz Choir is a student based group which is open by audition only and requires a commitment for the full year. This group tackles a wide range of styles, largely jazz and pop, but often including more advanced classical choral repertoire – and usually requires singers to sing one-on-a-part and in intricate harmonies. One of the highlights for members of this elite choir is the opportunity to perform at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, Idaho. This choir performs on one to three major concerts per year, and enjoys being asked to provide entertainment for various events on campus and in the community. TVCC Concert Choir-
The Concert Choir meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the academic year. No audition is required to join this ensemble, however, a basic ability to sing on pitch and a desire to learn proper vocal/choral technique is a must. This group performs three major concerts per year, typically including a large work from the standard choral repertoire, providing a chance to sing in a large ensemble along with the Treasure Valley Chorale, and often with orchestral accompaniment. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm in PAC 110 on the TVCC campus. There is a $30 fee for participation.

Our former choir member, Bob Caputi, has passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in peace.

Our beloved choir director and organist, Bob Caputi, passed away August 12 after a short illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 am at St Patricks A full obituary will be shared when available . Condolences to his wife Marion and his children and family members.

Obituary From family of Bob Caputi:

ROBERT D. CAPUTI, 84, of Vale, Oregon, died on August 12th, 2025. Born on November 3, 1940 in Camden, New Jersey, “Bob” was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend, a lover of music--especially jazz, a dreamer, a raconteur, a devotee of history, politics, good penmanship and faith.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marion, his four children, fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held on August 16th, 2025 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Vale, Oregon at 11AM. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Come enjoy singing with other community members! Rehearsals start March 31 at 7 pm in PAC 110 on the TVCC campus. All other rehearsals will be on Tuesdays from 7 to 9 pm.

Band, Symphony, and Chorale Registration
Please let all community members know that there is a $30 fee and to come prepared to register and pay by check or cash on the first night of class. Students who are taking the class for credit will register and pay through Student Services.
A staff member will be available on the first night of each class for registration and money-taking purposes. If you have members join later in the term, please have them fill out the registration form completely and turn it back into the instructor, who will then give these forms to Dora to complete the registration process. NO MONEY will be collected at this point; the business office will bill the member for the appropriate fees.
If you are a new member of one of our Fine & Performing Arts classes, please fill out the registration form completely and a TVCC enrollment specialist will be in contact with you to arrange payment and to establish your Student ID #. Non-degree seeking students can apply for student ID here https://tvcc.my.site.com/ERx_Forms__Portal_Register or call 541-881-5819.
