We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Charlotte, a sweet friend in the class of 2031. Hard to believe we are already counting down the days until summer, but May is still busy BUSY here at the middle school! As we count down the days to summer, we will also throw in a few Wellness Month lessons and treats for the kids!

🌟 May 5-9: Staff Appreciation Week
Treat your favorite staff member(s) this week by bringing them their favorite treats, writing them a nice note, completing all your homework, giving them a compliment, and a high five!

😋 May 5: Students celebrated Cinco de Mayo with free chips and salsa in their lunches.

💐 May 11: Mother's (& Special women in your life) Day!

🍎 May 15: Healthy Snack in lunches for students

🏃‍♂️ May 21: Some fun in the sun & wellness stations for students during recess, after lunch

🥤May 28: Hydration Station for kids during lunch, sith reminders to drink your water!

The first half of the earned Save Around shirts have been delivered to staff mailboxes. (Letters A-M went out Thursday afternoon, and the remaining will be placed today.)
💙 Depending on when homeroom teachers check their mailboxes, your students should come home with their shirts today, or early next week!

🛼7th Grade Roller Skating Party🛼
We had ~60 students join us tonight. Most of them were newbies and have never skated before, and it showed.

We as a PTO, absolutely love this event, and look forward to hosting it every year. Not only do we get to giggle at all the 'baby giraffe learning to walk' moments, but we get to dance along to DJ Bruce's jams, and the BEST thing of all- we see lots of KIND, CARING and COMPASSIONATE moments of friends supporting each other, and helping each other up when they fall.
