Treasure Valley Community College will be hosting the next Café con Amigos, presented by the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, on Tuesday, August 11 from 8-9AM

Start your morning by connecting with local professionals, community leaders, and neighbors over coffee and pan dulce. Whether you're looking to grow your network, learn about community resources, or simply meet new people, everyone is welcome!

🎓Graduate Spotlight🎓

Hola, mi nombre es Yonni, y originalmente soy de Perú. Para mí es una experiencia para mi vida, aprendí muchas cosas. Estoy agradecido con todos los maestros que me apoyaron a culminar este proceso. Estoy agradecido por la oportunidad que me dio el programa. Ahora que complete mi GED, me gustaría estudiar ingles y tomar clases de soldadura. Para todos los que se animan a estudiar el programa les aconsejo que aprovechen la oportunidad.

Hello, my name is Yonni, and originally from Peru. This has been a lifelong experience for me; I’ve learned so many things. I’m grateful to all the teachers who helped me complete this process. I’m grateful for the opportunity the program gave me. Now that I’ve completed my GED, I’d like to study English and take welding classes. I encourage everyone interested in studying the program to take advantage of the opportunity.

Hola, mi nombre es Liz. Tengo 22 años y soy originalmente de Perú. Me gusta aprender nuevas cosas. Migre hace 3 años en busca de un mejor futuro para mí y mi familia. Gracias a las oportunidades que me han dado, he aprendido y mejorado. Ha sido una experiencia muy buena ya que aprendí mucho y además de gracias a ello puedo continuar mis estudios, me siento agradecida y feliz, gracias Ahora que complete mi GED, me gustaría ascender en mi trabajo o buscar un mejor trabajo y también me gustaría buscar nuevas oportunidades.

Hello, my name is Liz. I’m 22 years old and originally from Peru. I enjoy learning new things. I immigrated three years ago in search of a better future for myself and my family. Thanks to the opportunities I’ve been given, I’ve learned and improved. It’s been a very good experience because I learned a lot, and thanks to it, I can continue my studies. I feel grateful and happy, thank you. Now that I’ve completed my GED, I’d like to get a promotion at work or look for a better job, and I’d also like to seek out new opportunities.

Hola mi nombre es Rebeca. Me encantó mucho estudiar en el programa HEP. Fue muy cómodo hacerlo desde mi casa. Los profesores siempre estaban dispuestos a ayudar y estar pendientes de nuestros avances. Ahora que termine mi GED, me gustaría estudiar inglés.

Hello, my name is Rebeca. I really enjoyed studying in the HEP program. It was very convenient to do it from home. The teachers were always willing to help and monitor our progress. Now that I’ve finished my GED, I’d like to learn and better my English.

Hola soy Claudia. Para mí haber estado en el programa de HEP asido una experiencia muy agradable. El haberme dado la oportunidad de terminar con éxito y haber obtenido el GED con horarios adecuados y sobre todo la mejor maestra que me tocó hiso que las clases fueran lo mejor para aprender más rápido y entender cada tema de cada materia. Sin duda recomiendo al 100% este programa. Ahora lo que sigue para mí es poder comenzar a estudiar la universidad y encontrar un trabajo.

Hello, my name is Claudia. Being in the HEP program has been a very pleasant experience for me. Having the opportunity to successfully complete the program and earn my GED, with convenient schedules and, above all, the best teacher I had, made classes very fun to learn the material faster and understand every topic in each subject. I definitely recommend this program 100%. Now, what’s next for me is to start college and find a better job opportunity.
