🇺🇸🚌 A Summer Tradition Worth Looking Back On! 🚌🇺🇸

As we look back on some of the memorable moments from this summer, we couldn’t leave out one of our favorite community traditions which is the City of Ontario’s Annual 4th of July Parade! ❤️🤍💙

Year after year, OMSD is proud to be part of the celebration, and our incredible Transportation Department always knows how to make an entrance! This year, the team went all out decorating one of our new all-electric school buses, bringing plenty of OMSD spirit to the parade route. ⚡🚌✨

There’s something about this annual tradition that captures that wonderful small-town feeling with families lining the streets, familiar faces everywhere, and our schools, city, and community all coming together to celebrate.

A huge thank you to our Transportation team and the City of Ontario for continuing a tradition filled with so much community heart. Another great summer memory for OMSD! 💙

📚🎓 Learning Never Stops at OMSD! 🎓📚

We’re proud to celebrate another incredible group of OMSD educators who over the Summer Break completed the Reading & Literacy Added Authorization and reached an exciting milestone in their continued professional growth!

Our teachers dedicate so much of themselves to their students each day, and their commitment to continue learning and strengthening their skills speaks volumes. Through this program, educators expanded their knowledge of literacy instruction and gained even more tools to support, inspire, and empower students in their classrooms.

A special thank you to USC for their support and involvement in this incredible learning opportunity, along with everyone who helped make this program possible. Most importantly, congratulations to our outstanding educators for investing the time, dedication, and hard work to reach this achievement!

💙🌟 Looking Back at Our Annual Parent Leadership Conference! 🌟💙

What an incredible day of learning, connection, and community! Our Family & Community Engagement Department’s Annual Parent Leadership Conference welcomed more than 400 guests, with OMSD parents making up the heart of this amazing gathering.

Families took part in engaging sessions filled with valuable resources, ideas, and opportunities to learn and grow. The conference highlighted just how important the connection between home, school, and community is because when we all work together, our students are the ones who benefit most. 💙

The day was made even more memorable by our amazing student performances, giving families the opportunity to see firsthand the talent, confidence, and growth of the students we all work together to support. 🌟👏

A huge thank you to our families, presenters, staff, community partners, and Family & Community Engagement Department for making this year’s conference such a success. We loved seeing our OMSD community come together, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for our next Parent Leadership Conference in 2027! ✨ There’s even more learning, connecting, and growing together still to come!

🛡️ Investing in Safety. Investing in Our Students. 🛡️
OMSD is proud to be the recipient of a $1.03 million grant dedicated to strengthening safety and security across our school sites!

We want to recognize the dedicated OMSD teachers who served on the grant committee and helped begin this journey years ago, meeting with Congresswoman Torres to explore programs, resources, and grant opportunities that could bring the very best to our students and schools. Their efforts helped turn those early conversations into an investment that will make a meaningful impact across our District today. A special thank you to our Congresswoman for her support and advocacy for this Federal funding.

This funding will help OMSD continue enhancing safety and security at our school sites and supporting environments where our students, staff, and families can feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Safety remains a priority at OMSD, and we are grateful for the partnerships and people who continue to help us build safer schools for our entire community. 💙💛

🎶💙 OMSD Music x Montclair High School - Band Showcase 💙🎶

Music has the power to inspire, connect, and bring people together. Through a special collaboration between the OMSD Visual & Performing Arts Program and Montclair High School, our middle school musicians had the opportunity to experience what the next chapter of their musical journey can look like.

By connecting with high school musicians and directors, students gained a glimpse into future opportunities while seeing how music can build confidence, encourage self-expression, and create lifelong friendships. It's experiences like these that help bridge the gap between middle school and high school while inspiring students to continue growing through the arts.

A big thank you to our OMSD music educators, Montclair High School, and everyone who helped make this memorable experience possible. Here's to the next generation of musicians! 🎼✨
