Homecoming football game on Friday night has been CANCELLED. Newark does not have enough players due to Covid. All the other scheduled events are still on as of right now.

This coming weekend is homecoming weeked!

The parade starts at 5:30 on Friday night, followed by the 🏈 game at 7:00. Girls and boys ⚽️ games start at noon on Saturday with Hall of Fame inductions before the 4 and 6pm games.

Coming up on another year since graduation. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe during this crazy time!

I just wanted to remind us all that no matter what our opinions are, we all have our right to them! We all have taken our own paths but let’s not forget about our roots! We have all been a big part in each other’s lives one way or another, even if it was in the past.

I’m not sure how well this recent “post your senior picture to support the class of 2020” trend is really helping so I propose a different “challenge”! Instead of posting our senior pictures, let’s lead by example. Let’s show future generations how easy it is to simply be a good person, no matter what is going on with politics, media, etc! Let’s show them that even though time has passed, we can still respect one another for who we’ve become. Celebrate our successes, our journeys and most importantly, our differences!

We all have our moments of weakness and times like this can really bring out the worst in us. This post is meant to push us to take a step back. Take a deep breathe. Appreciate the little things. Search out the positives rather than the negatives in something or someone.

This is a difficult time for us all but now more than ever, we need to stick together!

I’ll be the first to say, I love you all and I truly hope you are doing well!
