Term 2 is finished! On to the final term for the '25-'26 school year. With the start of term 3 we are actually starting 8th grade as our current program has us completing 7th, 8th, and 9th grade in just two years. It's a little extra work but worth it. This term we add several new books and will be enjoying Shakespeare sonnets. Plutarch study will be on Titus Flamininus.

Another Sunday during the school year and more lessons to prep but we are also nearing the end of term 2 so it's time to get the exam ready so he can review what has been learned.
Also our new hymn study is "I Am Thine O Lord (Draw Me Nearer)".

Anthony and I were discussing the importance of good books in education just last evening. He has been enjoying all his school books this year. With this term he has begun reading Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and likes trying to read the Old English before looking at the modern translation to see if he understood it. His favorite of the living book he's reading is The Wonder's of Chemistry by Henri Fabre.
