This morning, 1st graders enjoyed reading Author of the Month Jacqueline Woodson's "The World Belonged to Us," followed by an activity that asked them to identify various things we did and did not see in the story. What we did see were examples of what makes childrens play ideal: sharing, creativity, kindness, cooperation, & happy faces!

The first week of the new school year has been great, with library classes reviewing what they know about library procedures and eagerly grabbing the hundreds of new books that arrived over the Summer! Doesn't Autumn look good on us? 🍁🍂🍁

Mrs. Marks' 2nd grade class enjoyed their last visit to the library this afternoon, and today we played a review activity using the website "Kahoot!" to see how much they remembered about ALL of the Caldecott award winning picture books we read together this year! Their class did a lot of reading this year, as they signed-out 460 library books!

Mrs. Bellen's 3rd grade library class made their last visit of the school year this afternoon, during which we completed a Digital Citizenship review activity using the website "Kahoot!" This class loves reading, as they signed-out 700 library books this year, the 3rd most of any class in the school!

Ms. Tammaro's 1st grade class enjoyed their last visit to the library this morning, and today we played a review activity using the website "Kahoot!" to see how much they remembered about ALL of the 23 "Author of the Month" books we read together this year; they remembered almost everything! Their class also signed-out the MOST number of books this year, at 802! 😮

Mrs. Schliermann' 5th grade library class paid their last visit this morning for a BINGO review game (using M&M's), testing them on everything they've learned about books & technology since Kindergarten! If they take with them to middle school everything they have learned & remembered, they will be successful indeed!

Mr. Reilly's 2nd grade class enjoyed their last visit to the library this afternoon, and today we played a review activity using the website "Kahoot!" to see how much they remembered about ALL of the Caldecott award winning picture books we read together this year! Their class did a lot of reading this year, as they signed-out 557 library books!

Ms. Palmer's 3rd grade library class made their last visit of the school year this afternoon, during which we completed a Digital Citizenship review activity using the website "Kahoot!" This class loves reading, as they signed-out over 690 library books this year AND were the FIRST class to return them ALL, so they win a 🍕🍕🍕 party in the library!

Ms. Seward's Kindergarten class enjoyed their last visit to the library this afternoon, and will return in September as 1st graders! Today we played a review activity using the website "Kahoot!" to see how much they remembered about all 24(!) of the "Author of the Month" books we read together this year; they remembered almost everything! Their class also signed-out over 375 books this year, and have returned almost all of them!
