It’s almost Halloween! We dug through the archives and found a few photos of alumni in costume to give you some inspiration this weekend!!

On Monday, the library was part of a unique experience! Sr. Assistant Librarian Sarah Rhodes, Professor Kjersti VanSlyke-Briggs, Assistant Professor Gina Solano, and students Abigail Petrassi and Samantha Murray received a Humanities NY Vision grant that allowed them to bring approximately 200 high school students from seven different area schools to the library to engage in mini-lessons examining George Takei’s graphic memoir led by students from Professor VanSlyke-Briggs’ Young Adult Literature course! Today is the last day Pride month so we wanted to commemorate the day with a post highlighting the Gender and Sexuality Resource Guide created in collaboration with the ! If you’re wondering why we waited until the end of the month to share this resource it is because we wanted to make sure that you all carry this knowledge forth with you into future months and years and decades and centuries!!

Come on in to the library and check out our new display put together by LSA Sophia Dunne! It features lots of interesting information about national parks, local hiking trails, and more!

We have a special Happy Treesday post today! Some of you may remember Bettina from an earlier Treesday post. Well, last week she got some tlc and was reported into a much more appropriate pot and supported with new stakes! The work was done by Student worker Heavenlee and our amazing Student Supervisor Melanie! Come swing by the library and check out Bettina’s new home!

we need your help! Located over in Morris Hall Room 104 is an extension of our Alden Room display. Part of the display is a collection of photos that we need help identifying! If you can help us solve the mystery, we’ve left cards and pencils on the desk in front of the poster!

Reminder that with the new guidelines put out by the college, masks are required to be worn in the library through May 20. If you need a mask, we have some available at the reference and circulation desks. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in masking correctly.

Oh no! Someone stole Red’s treasure! Can you help us replenish it? We’ll be painting rocks in front of the library on Tuesday, May 3rd to stock up Red’s treasure hoard! You can leave your rock with Red, take it, or hide it in designated areas on campus (see map at painting table). Post a picture of it using Paint a fun design, an inspirational message, or some words of kindness to help spread some cheer before the semester ends!
