The Bugbee Children's Center is participating in the 2026 Mohawk Valley Gives campaign. On September 18th, please visit our MVG page https://www.givemv.org/organizations/bugbee-children-center make a donation. All giving will end at 9:00PM on September 18, so make sure to get your gift in on time!

We need your help to make our campaign a success, and we’ve included a few easy ways that you can support us.

Share and share alike. Online days of giving are successful because of our own networks. Help us grow our network by sending this email to your network and ask your friends to do the same.

Be socially (media) active. Use your social media networks: post on Facebook, tweet about Mohawk Valley Gives, and share your love for your particular passion, whether it’s early childhood education, health care, animals, or the arts. Ask others to do the same. The Center has already posted a message on Facebook that you can share.
Become a fundraising champion. We really need supporters to help drive people to our Mohawk Valley Gives profile on September 18th . Please contact the Center for more information on how to become a fundraising champion!

A Friendly Request to Our Neighbors

Dear Neighbors,

We are reaching out with a sincere request to help us keep the children at Bugbee Children's Center safe.

Several of the children in our care have severe peanut allergies. Even touching peanut shells or peanut residue can trigger a serious allergic reaction, including anaphylaxis, which is a life-threatening medical emergency.

Recently, we have found whole peanut shells on our playgrounds, likely brought in by birds or other wildlife after being fed nearby. Because our children spend a great deal of time outdoors exploring and playing, these shells create a significant safety risk.

We kindly ask that you please avoid feeding birds, squirrels, or other wildlife whole peanuts or peanuts in the shell. Choosing alternative wildlife feed, such as sunflower seeds or other peanut-free options, can help protect the health and safety of the children in our care.

We greatly appreciate your understanding, kindness, and support in helping us provide a safe environment for every child. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us (607-436-2484).
