On Tuesday, November 3rd, voters in the Onaway Area Community Schools and across our three-county region will consider a proposed renewal of the COPESD special education millage.

The proposed COPESD special education millage renewal provides critical funding for services that the Onaway Area Community Schools is legally required to provide.

If the millage is not approved, the district would need to use more of its general operating budget to cover those mandated costs. This would affect funding available for ALL students, including classroom programs, staffing, transportation, maintenance, and daily school operations.
