A big shoutout to our very own Miss Jordan and Gage for spending time this past weekend putting together our new swing sets and making sure they were safely installed on our playground! You two are the best!

What a beautiful day to get outside and explore!

Today they enjoyed a nature walk, using their eyes and ears to discover all the sights and sounds of nature! There is so much to see, hear, and learn about the world around us! 🍃

We have had a VERY busy, but fun-filled start to our school year! We’ve been busy learning, playing, exploring, and making memories together!

We’ve been a little quiet on here…more pictures and updates coming soon! ❤️🖤

We are feeling so grateful! 💛

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who generously purchased items from our Amazon Wishlist! From our families and friends to individuals in our community and even a few local businesses, we have been blown away by the support. Thank you Don Reece for cleaning up our sand and having our playground ready to go!

The children are already loving all of the new additions to our classroom, with even more fun to come once we get our new swing sets put together and continue to read our new books!📚

Your generosity is helping shape some of the littlest learners in our community, and every gift makes a bigger impact than you know.
From all of us at Cardinal Beginnings, thank you for caring for and supporting our kiddos! 😁

Hope to see you tonight.
New families - bring your enrollment paperwork.
Returning families - stop in to update your paperwork.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Be sure to stop by our classroom during the Onaway Schools Back to School Open House on Thursday, August 27, from 4:00–6:00 PM!

We will do our best to get enrollment packets to new families before Open House so you can complete them ahead of time and bring them with you. Returning families are encouraged to stop by to update any paperwork for the new school year.

❗️Please note that Cardinal Beginnings will have a different start date than Onaway Schools this year. While the K-12 students begin before Labor Day, our first day with students will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026 ❗️

Sharing, with an update.

Thank you all so much for contributing to our little classroom 🤍

We noticed items that have been purchased are still showing available when shopping through Facebook, so we updated the link & it is now a registry, hopefully that helps!

We are so excited to be getting the room ready to go and putting all of our new items to use!

This summer has been incredibly inspiring for Miss Jordan. She had the opportunity to observe a couple early childhood classrooms, and came away with so many ideas that she cannot wait to bring into our own space. Every experience reminded her that children learn best when they are free to explore, create, wonder, and play.

Some of you have asked how you can support our classroom, so we wanted to share our Amazon Wishlist!

You may notice that it’s a long list and that’s intentional. 😊 It isn’t a list of things we expect to receive overnight. Instead, it’s our classroom vision. It will continue to grow and change throughout the year as we discover new interests, ideas, and opportunities for our children. Some items are simply goals for us to purchase ourselves over time, while others may become possible through the kindness of our classroom community.

This year, we’re hoping to add more:
🤎 Open-ended toys and loose parts
🌿 Nature-inspired materials
🎨 Process art experiences
🧩 Hands-on STEM invitations
🌈 Sensory exploration
🌧️ Outdoor learning opportunities—including rain gear so we can embrace all kinds of weather!

We know budgets are limited, ours included, and we wish we could purchase everything ourselves. If you feel led to bless our classroom with a gift, no matter the size, please know that it will be appreciated beyond words. Every item will be loved, well cared for, and enjoyed by many children for years to come.

And of course, classroom staples like disinfecting wipes, tissues, paper towels, soap, and other cleaning supplies are always welcomed and appreciated.

Thank you for believing in our children and helping us create a classroom where they feel safe, loved, inspired, and excited to learn each day. We truly couldn’t do it without such an amazing community.
