The Mighty 4th Graders Our Pillars for Growth:
Effort || Teamwork || Kindness || Authentic Voice Within these walls, and out in that world, I can make a difference in this world.

The Mighty 3rd Graders are a group of resilient, hard working, and positive thinkers who are determined to "dominate the day." We utilize technology, MAPs (mindfulness awareness practices), reflective thought, collaborative thinking, and an active form of learning in which to further our growth every day. We also live by our "Mighty Creed" (and recite it every day) in which to remind ourselves of

the powerful journey that we're on:

"We are the Mighty 3rd Graders,
We know through strong effort that we can dominate the day,
No matter the subject,
No matter the challenge,
We will succeed together. All it takes is the best of me and the best of we. Today is my day. Today is your day. Now let's... get... started!"

It’s a Mighty 4th Grader tradition to start the year with an impromptu “Tallest Tower” challenge!

Within the first half an hour that they’re at school, students are broken up into random groups of three and they work on their communication skills as they work together to build the tallest tower.

Does anyone have comfortable seating they’re willing to donate to our classroom?

My Mighty 4th Graders can use ‘gold coins’ they earn through ClassMana to ‘purchase’ random comfortable seats for the school day. At this point, my old seats are starting to wear down quite a bit.

I’m looking for anything a student could sit in that would be more comfortable than a hard plastic chair.

☀ Summer Meal Program Information ☀

The School District of Onalaska is once again offering free meals for children in the community throughout the summer. No sign up, registration, or application required. Just show up and get food!

Dates: 6/8 - 7/31 (No meals 7/3)
Location: Onalaska Middle School, 707 8th Ave N
Snack: 9-9:30 a.m., Monday - Friday
Lunch: 11:30-12:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Thank you all for a wonderful school year. This was a very special group of kids this year and I miss them already. That said, I am confident they are all ready to take on the world as 5th graders!
