Happy New Year 🎉 ! Today, we’re excited to unveil our new online course, HUMAN CONNECTION IN THE TECH AGE 💻 ! This topic’s been HEAVY on the minds of our clients and many other educational practitioners (as well as non-educational practitioners).

To be clear, we’re not anti-technology in schools; the power that blended learning holds is undeniable! However, we’re pro-moderation and pro-intentionality. As empirical research supports, over-use and over-reliance on technology causes us to become emotionally-desensitized, out of touch with each other and with our own feelings...feelings that make us uniquely human. With carefully-curated resources, we designed this course to help participants leverage technology without sacrificing our fundamental need: human sociability.

The feedback we received on our 3 online courses this past summer was overwhelming positive! 🤗 Though each course is STACKED with content, some of our participants didn't want the modules to end, interested in MORE of our perspectives on key topics in education! 🤯👍🏾

Motivated by this 👆🏼 (and in keeping with the times we're in), we've started developing a 4TH ONLINE COURSE that educators at every level can really sink their teeth into.

Established in 2021, Mirror Start is dedicated to disrupting cycles of inequity in educational systems. Their mission aligns perfectly with Benerd College's commitment to excellence and inclusivity.

Mirror Start offers asynchronous online courses focused on educational leadership. These courses support adult learning and micro-credentialing goals and are designed for educators interested in or currently on track to principalship as well as school building administrators, teacher leaders, and district human resources staff. Courses cover topics which range from school improvement and sustainability to anti-racist leadership.
