Thank you to all who helped us refresh our woodchips on the the playground last week!

We’re so grateful to Thrivent for providing an Action Team for us to use towards a portion of the woodchips as well as all those who support our program through our Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser each year that made purchases like this possible!

We’re going on a bear hunt, what a beautiful day, we’re not scared! 🏕️ 🪵 🛶

Last week, we welcomed preschoolers back into our classroom for our 4 day summer program- a special group of past preschoolers, future preschoolers and community members! Our campers were greeted with a camp vest and encouraged to venture into our dramatic play corner, which was completely transformed into our camp corner- complete with a river, boats, tent and even a bear cave! We sang songs like the Mosquito Swat and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, created camp-worthy artwork and learned s’more about Jesus and how much He loves us and is always there for us- even in the dark while camping under the stars!

We are so grateful to Mrs. Koblitz and Mrs. Kenimer for teaching our summer program this year!

Our End of the Year Program and Art Show is always such a special day. It’s amazing to see the growth that our preschoolers make from September to May. We love highlighting our preschoolers and all the special days and activities they’ve enjoyed throughout the year in our video slideshow in addition to sharing some of our favorite songs with their families and loved ones!

This year, we also recognized Mrs. Kathy Koblitz for 20 years of service as she completes her 20th year teaching this May. We are so grateful for her past and continued service to Shepherd’s Flock Preschool and our program- our program would not be what it is today without her dedication to our preschoolers. Thank you Mrs. Koblitz! 💕

During the month of April, our teachers planned thematic units around Spring, Lifecycles and Weather! We tracked the weather each day, learned about the many different types of weather we can see in the spring, planted and learned about how plants grow and explored the lifecycles of birds, frogs and butterflies! ☀️ ☔️ 🌱

Sip, sip, hooray! It's tea time. 🫖 Our preschoolers have also been enjoying the tea party that’s been available in dramatic play this week as well! We love providing new learning opportunities for preschoolers to choose during choice time! Dramatic play, art, blocks +building, our discovery shelf, library, table activities- our teachers are always intentionally rotating the activities that are available during our choice time as they lesson plan for each week!
