Buffalo Fun Club-USD #322

We had a great first week at Buffalo Fun Club! During STEM this week-one of the many activities they did was to build a house out of the materials provided-but one stipulation-you had to build it strong enough to withstand Kansas weather like the wizard of oz. So it might get hailed on (ice poured on it) it might experience a tornado (high winds of a blow dryer) or it might rain (water poured on it). They had to work on teams! I sure heard a lot of giggles!

In cooking clubs they have made brownies, and pizza dough from scratch!

In our arts and crafts club, they made some window decorations, working on a Father’s Day surprise, and some More painting activities.

In our book club-Mrs Kolterman is teaching them all about the love of books and having some read aloud time and vocabulary work.

We also got to go To The discovery center for some hands on fun!

Our field trip this week is the wizard of oz museum in Wamego. Please wear an orange shirt again!

Fun arts and craft time by making bubbles and then putting paper on top of it to make a creation! We also have been learning about “our circle of control” and what it means when we can control things and how we react when we can’t. Nothing beats a good activity like having circle snacks (cookies!)

Here is our better buffaloes this week! Way to go Mason, Aden, Tiegan and Kylie!

Mason has been very helpful to all the teachers. He is being a great role model by asking what he can do to help, working with younger students to help them and even sweeping our floors! Thank you for making our school a better place! Way to go Mason!



Tiegan is making our school a better place by being a better buffalo this week! She always gets her homework right out during our afterschool time, very polite with her teachers and very responsible with her time to get her homework done on time! Thank you for making our school a better place! Way to go Tiegan!



Kylie is making our school a better place by being a better buffalo this week! She stepped up and listened to our activity and followed directions the first time, stayed on task doing her art project and even during our read aloud time-she stayed right her square like she was asked. Thanks for making our school a better place! Way to go Kylie!

Aden is making our school a better place by being a better buffalo this week! He worked with our friend Will and showed him how to do his project when he wasn’t even asked to help him-he went right over and did it. He is always respectful and a very good role model. Thank you for making our school a better place! Way to go Aden!

Buffalo Fun club has been so busy these last few weeks! We started new Fun groups where the older kids get to model for younger kids, cooking club made pancakes this week and our STEM activity is making Sprout houses! The STEM groups worked inside of their groups and used team work with how they were going to make a sprout house together and the older kids modeled good behavior and team work. We also will be picking 4 new “Better Buffaloes “this week! Lots of kids in the running as they are all trying hard to spread good deeds all over our school! Stay tuned!

Our Buffalo Fun Club afterschool kids have been hard at work and we decided to add a better buffalo Board!Each week we will pick 4 kiddos that are going out of their way to make our school a better place! Way to go Kody, Juliette, Kaiden and Preston!

The teachers voted and here what they say!

Kaiden: He has been working on our picking up any piece of trash he could find!! Way to go Kaiden!

Juliette: She is always polite and always does what her teachers ask her!! Way to go Juliette!

Preston: He has been very helpful with the younger kids and a great role model to show them how to Do The right thing-always!

Kody: He has been so helpful in picking up after our snack time, using his manners and passing out great hugs! Way to go
