What an incredible summer of learning, creating, exploring, and making memories!

As we wrap up another amazing season of Spark Adventure Camps, we’re already looking forward to what’s next. And we have some exciting news to share - next year, Spark Adventure Camps will be coming to a new location: GreenState Millard Activity Center! 🎉

This summer, our campers filled their weeks with creativity, curiosity, and adventure. From robots, LEGO creations, and simple machines to art, claymation, theater, and outdoor exploration, every camp offered a new opportunity to discover, create, and try something different.

Along the way, campers solved problems, worked as a team, used their imaginations, made new friends, and turned their ideas into something they could proudly share.

One of our favorite parts of each week was welcoming families to our final showcases. Campers got to share what they had been working on all week - whether that meant performing a play, demonstrating a robot, showing off a creation, playing a game they designed, or enjoying an outdoor adventure together.

But the best part of the summer was watching our campers grow, build confidence, discover new interests, and have fun along the way. 💜

A huge thank you to our campers, families, staff, and community partners who helped make this summer so special. We loved seeing all the creativity, curiosity, teamwork, and joy you brought to Spark.

Thank you, Oh My Omaha, for highlighting Spark Adventure Camps in the 2026 Summer Camp Guide!

One of the camps featured is No Strings Attached, a theatre experience led by Circle Theatre where students will:
🎭 play theatre games
🎭 build puppets
🎭 explore music and creative movement
🎭 create a Pinocchio-inspired performance together

Sessions available for 1st-3rd graders and 4th-6th graders.

If you have a young storyteller, performer, or creative thinker at home, this is a wonderful camp to explore.

More than a summer camp... a chance to step onto the stage with Spark Adventure Camps. I'm so glad to have Millard Public Schools Foundation be a sponsor of the 2026 Omaha Summer Camps Guide!

This summer, students can bring a story to life in No Strings Attached, a theatre camp led by Circle Theatre and designed for youth of all abilities.

The featured session is for 4th–6th graders (July 13–19, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM) and is a great fit for kids who are ready for something more engaging than a traditional day camp.
Throughout the week, campers will:

🎭play theatre games

🎭build puppets

🎭explore music and creative movement

🎭work together to create a Pinocchio-inspired performance

Along the way, students explore big ideas like kindness, identity, confidence, and what it means to be "real."

✨ The best part? Families are invited to a final Showcase performance, where parents can come watch their child perform and see everything they created during the week. It's always a proud and unforgettable moment.

(They also offer a 1st–3rd grade session July 20–24, 1:00–4:00 PM.)

The camps are open to all Omaha-area students - not only students currently enrolled in Spark or Millard public schools.

When we tell kids that learning never stops…
we mean it applies to us too.

To keep Spark Adventure Camps fresh, engaging, and meaningful, our team traveled to San Diego to attend the American Camp Association National Conference. We spent the time learning, observing, asking questions, and collecting new ideas - all to make camp experiences even better for our campers.

We always come back with something new.
Because the best camps don’t repeat - they grow.

We’re excited to bring new activities, approaches, and experiences to this summer’s camps, and we can’t wait for campers to see what we discovered.

If you’ve heard about Spark during the school year, here’s something many families don’t realize:

Spark Adventure Camps are open to ALL Omaha-area families.
You do not have to attend Millard public schools to participate.

All summer long, students entering 1st–6th grade can spend their days building, experimenting, creating, exploring, and learning through hands-on activities that feel more like fun than school.

Each week is a completely different theme - so kids stay curious, engaged, and excited to come back the next day.

This is the kind of summer where they don’t just pass the time… they discover what they love.

And parents should know - weeks fill fast every year.
