Westgate Elementary is receiving a few finishing touches over the summer months.
Crews are breaking up and removing the parking lot and oval – and new playground equipment is being assembled.

Warrior Theatre students recently worked with Rave On Productions to help develop its new play, ‘Sgt. Pepper and the Search for the Yellow Submarine.’
The students participated in a script read and provided feedback to the writer/producer.
The play will premiere in August, at the Bellevue Little Theatre.

Congratulations to Haley Dirks!
The Westbrook teacher is the winner of the Robert N Adams Scholarship for 2025/2026!
The award is named in honor of Robert Adams and is part of his legacy at Westside Community Schools. Robert believed in building the leadership capacity of staff and encouraged the pursuit of lifelong learning.
It is through the generosity of his family we present an annual scholarship to a deserving certified staff member.

Warrior Theatre is expanding its Summer Events offerings.
Little Warrior Theatre Camp is joined by Spotlight 66 Westside’s first theatre cabaret for 6-8th graders.
You’ll get personalized skill development and a red-carpet experience.

Work continues at the Loveland construction site.
Crews were able to start prepping the ground before the end of the school year.
The original 1932 school will become the new media center.
Students are scheduled to return to the New Loveland in January of 2028.

ICYMI: Combining adventure and education – our Panda 1st graders visited the Safari Park and Lauritzen Gardens on a recent field trip!
Hands on learning, incredible sights and fun – a great combination!
