Today, we celebrated grandparent’s day! Here at Mandela, we often talk about our village and how the support that they give our scholars is key to their success. Thank you, grandparents, for loving our scholars and always encouraging them to do their best!

Scholars had a BLAST at our pep rally yesterday. The event kicked off with the drill team from Burke High School. Then, scholars got to play games that tested their skills, resilience, and ability to have fun and dance! There will be a follow-up assembly in a few weeks to celebrate their successes.

A huge thank you to Nicole Kropatsch from . She spent three days with our scholars and our team this week, guiding them through a 'brain dance' to help increase focus, energy, and regulation in the classroom. They had so much fun, and now they have the tools they'll need for testing next week!

5th graders received a visit from the River City Ringers of Omaha, this morning during orchestra! Scholars got to listen to a short concert and experience what it's like to play handbells. What a fun way to make music!
