Before they lead the school, they're helping prepare it.
Some of our incoming 8th grade boys, future leaders of our school, volunteered part of their summer to assemble brand new desks for some of our middle school classrooms. Their willingness to serve before the school year even begins says a lot about the young men they are becoming.
A special thank you to Mrs. Julie Friend and Dr. Pat Friend for organizing today's project and volunteering alongside our students. We truly have the best students and families!

☕ Something’s brewing at St. Wenceslaus!
Updating our staff lounge was identified as one of the goals within Pillar 5 of our Strategic Plan, and we’re excited to see that vision come to life.
A special thank you to Reed Kaus of Scooter’s Coffee, a relative of Jeff Beulke, for generously donating fresh coffee beans that our faculty and staff will enjoy during our Back-to-Staff Kickoff in mid-August as we reveal the updated space.
We’re also incredibly grateful to McLeay Building Company, Conzett Architecture, and Bold Office Solutions for rolling up their sleeves to help make this vision a reality.
Stay tuned! We can’t wait to share the finished space, along with more Strategic Plan updates, in the weeks ahead.

🚧 Another Construction Update! 🚧
Sometimes the most important improvements aren't the flashy ones.
The front entrance near the parking lot, where many students cross and enter the school each day, is now level with brand new concrete. We've also completed additional concrete work along sidewalks and walking paths near our parking and dismissal areas.
These projects may not be the most glamorous, but they help make our campus safer for students, families, and staff. Every improvement brings us one step closer to welcoming everyone back for another great school year!

Future Cafeteria Bathrooms
Recently, we shared updates with our families about Pillar Five: Our Catholic Campus, which focuses on enhancing and beautifying our facilities and resources.
While Cain Hall may be our largest construction project this summer, it is certainly not the only one! Here is a sneak peek at our future cafeteria bathrooms. The new tile and countertops are in, and the transformation is well underway.
Past Celebrate funds are helping make this project possible. We are grateful for the generosity of our community and the continued investment in spaces our students use every day.
A special thank you to the John McLeay Construction Team and Conzett Architecture for helping bring this project to life.
Stay tuned for the finished photos before the start of the school year!

We love seeing our classrooms filled with smiling faces, even in the summer. Mrs. Ferrer is spending the week helping our incoming kindergarten and first grade students build reading confidence through our optional Jump Start Camp. What a wonderful way to help our Knights start the year strong!

While our hallways are quiet, our teachers are already preparing for another incredible school year. 📚
As part of our Strategic Plan, our Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grade teachers are piloting a new Language Arts curriculum for the upcoming school year.
Throughout the pilot, our teachers will dive into these new resources, collaborate with one another, and provide valuable feedback as we continue raising the bar for literacy at St. Wenceslaus.
At St. Wenceslaus, we never stop looking for ways to make an exceptional Catholic education even stronger. We can't wait to see these resources come to life in our classrooms this fall.

Today, some of our amazing St. Wenceslaus teachers celebrated the completion of their Literacy Class through the University of Nebraska Omaha and the Archdiocese!
To make the day even sweeter, they also celebrated one of our Assistant Principals, Mrs. Phillips, on her birthday during their final class.
Congratulations to everyone, and happy birthday, Mrs. Julie Phillips!

There is something really special about the St. Wenceslaus community.
When there is work to be done, people show up. Tonight, parents, students, staff, family members, and community members volunteered their time to help move countless boxes, deliver classroom furniture, unbox supplies, break down mountains of cardboard, and prepare our school for another incredible year. Every helping hand made a difference.
We had an incredible turnout of volunteers. We only managed to capture a handful of pictures because everyone was so busy serving! It was truly all hands on deck.
God is so good, and we are so blessed by this community.

What a beautiful evening of prayer and fellowship at Saint John’s Church on Creighton’s campus. Lindsey Harrahill, School Principal, and Ashley Montgomery, Project Support Lead on the parish side, joined the 118 seminarians and staff participating in the Institute for Priestly Formation Summer Program for Adoration.
We are grateful for the opportunity to pray alongside these seminarians visiting Omaha and to support the important work of the Institute for Priestly Formation.
