When your church is this beautiful, sometimes the best classroom is right next door!

Our third graders stepped out of the classroom and into St. Wenceslaus Church for a special tour with Mrs. Fuxa. Students explored the history of our church while learning more about the artwork, stained glass, sacred spaces and symbols that are part of our Catholic faith.

A special shoutout to Mrs. Fuxa for creating experiences that help our students see that our faith is not just something we learn about. It is part of who we are and the history we are continuing together.

Our Sunshine Committee brought smiles to our students earlier this week! A popsicle may seem like a simple act of kindness, but to a child, it can be the highlight of their day.

Thank you to our Sunshine Committee for bringing a little extra light and joy to St. Wenceslaus. It’s these little moments that our students remember and that help them feel seen and loved.

What a great turnout for our Open House on Monday!

It was wonderful to welcome so many of our St. Wenceslaus families back into the building as we prepared for a new school year. Thank you to all of our parents and students who stopped by!

A special shoutout to our incredible staff who put so much time and care into getting classrooms and the building ready to welcome our students back. We are grateful for all they do behind the scenes to make St. Wenceslaus such a special place.

Throwback to last week when our staff participated in CPR and First Aid training!

Did you know St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is a Project ADAM Heart Safe School?

This designation recognizes schools that demonstrate strong cardiac emergency preparedness through staff training and a practiced response plan. It reflects our commitment to being prepared to respond to a cardiac emergency involving a student, staff member or visitor.

Our school nurses also review our cardiac response plan each year and assist with drills to help keep our staff prepared in the event of an emergency.

We are grateful for the time our staff and school nurses put into training and preparation to help keep our St. Wenceslaus community safe.

What an incredible honor for one of our own!

Mrs. Becky Morine has been named the 2026 Nebraska Art Teachers Association Middle Level Art Educator of the Year. This statewide recognition celebrates the exceptional work Mrs. Morine does as an art educator and the creativity and enthusiasm she brings to her students each day.

Those who know Mrs. Morine and have seen her work with our students know how well deserved this recognition is.

What a great Saturday at St. Wenceslaus!

Construction wrapped up this morning on our final two Pre-K classrooms, and our teachers, parents, volunteers, staff and their families, and even some of our 8th graders jumped right in to get everything put together and ready for our youngest Knights!

Furniture was assembled, classrooms came together, and plenty of hands made the work lighter. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who gave part of their Saturday to serve our school and help us cross the finish line.
