*Cecily Myart-Cruz & Shannon McCann for the Executive Committee

Princess, Noel, and Robert have spent time in Nebraska supporting and helping us for years. Cecily came to the NE Causus to speak to us and I was highly impressed with the amount of research she had done on our state and her willingness to help with our educational needs. Shannon also spoke with us. She has some innovative ideas and is such a motivated individual. These elections were close and these elected candidates were fighters!

First day on the floor for the NEA Representative Assembly this year was on the 4th of July. All the delegates do a great job dressing for the occasion! We have a dance off during our lunch break to get out of our voting chairs and get some exercise. We form our own choir and ring in the day by singing the National Anthem. And we VOTE!!! We spend time representing our states, our districts, our work families, and our own families by voting on the items that will guide our efforts throughout the upcoming year. Spending the time away from our homes each year is part of it, and it’s sacrifice, but we make the best of it all! Thank you to all our Millard delegates! We appreciate you!
