Today, Nebraska lawmakers took an important step forward by unanimously adopting LR422 in a 47–0 vote. Introduced by Sen. Victor Rountree, the resolution urges Congress and the President of the United States to enact legislation to fully fund IDEA. It’s time for the federal government to fulfill its promise and provide the support that students and schools are counting on. We extend our sincere thanks to Sen. Rountree for introducing this resolution, and to NEA Director Edward Ventura Jr. for his leadership in partnering with educators and leaders across states to bring this important effort to Nebraska.
