We love spotlighting great programs for kids in our community, and Challenge Island NW Omaha is offering some fantastic options for Winter Break and Summer 2026!

They’ve partnered with BounceU to run action-packed Winter Break Mini Camps filled with bouncing, STEAM adventures, creativity, and tons of hands-on fun. If you’re looking for something engaging (and energy-burning!) over break, this is a great option.

They’ve also opened Early Registration for their Summer Camps at both BounceU and Steiner Academy, and prices are currently at their lowest for the season—a perfect chance to plan ahead and save.

Today’s carry has a somber purpose. Alongside my usual gear—wallet, phone, notebook, inhaler, pens, self-defense items, and the little comforts that get me through a day—I’ve added tissues, mints, and an extra dose of patience for myself and others. The bright pouch reminds me that even in moments of grief, we carry memories and the colors of the life we’re honoring.

We have been very excited to see a chapter of A Girl and A Gun Women's Shooting League form in Omaha. Our instructor, Niki, has been having loads of fun with them. Reach out if you want to know more info.

The Omaha NE Chapter ladies had fun working on the Drill of the Month for their Girls Night Out. Some even tried doing it one-handed! They love the socializing and laughs they share together.
