Get Ready Set Grow Childcare

Today, the children participated in a hands-on activity churning butter using an old fashioned hand crank, which provided an enjoyable means of learning about the tasks farmers previously needed to do. It was delicious! Thanks you to our mom helper, Mrs Hanson!

This week, we initiated our preschool embryology unit, titled Look Who's Hatching. This unit will span several weeks and focus on animals that hatch from eggs.

Concurrently, our toddlers will be exploring the farm theme, encompassing farm animals, their sounds, farm animal habitats, farm families, farm jobs, and food we get from the farm.

Both units offer excellent opportunities for engaging discovery activities for all ages.

This week, we celebrated the book, The Teddy Bears Picnic, and finalized our activities with a Teddy Bear picnic. The children took great pleasure in bringing their teddy bears or stuffed animals from home.

We caught ourselves a sneaky leprechaun!

Our preschoolers had so much fun reading How to Trap a Leprechaun! ☘️ They learned that on St. Patrick’s Day, those sneaky little leprechauns come around looking to grab gold.

So of course, the kids got busy building their own trap and filled it with shiny treasures to lure one in. The next morning, they were SO excited to see that they had actually caught a leprechaun of their very own!

St. Patrick’s Day was quite a celebration at Get Ready Set Grow Childcare! We practiced being “Lucky to Be Healthy” by creating our own delicious Cobb salads 🥗 filled with cheese, meats, eggs, assorted veggies, and a breadstick.

I've had the privilege of collaborating with this extraordinary woman for the past 9 years, witnessing her compassion and kindness touch the lives of our children and families.

The children celebrated Valentine's Day by decorating bags, playing games, and using loads of heart stickers.

This afternoon we will have a special snack called a Friendship
Fruit Salad using fruit brought by all our friends.

The GRSG staff and children are radiating joy and love to Mrs Jill in a spectacular celebration of her birthday, uplifted by a delectable taco bar crafted by the staff, filling Mrs Jill's heart with immense joy and feeling the love! ❤️
