This school year, we were able to resume our ‘Dance and Dine’ classes!🍽🎶 Rockbrook Elementary students learned about social skills, etiquette and respect through learning to dance and host a formal dinner. At the end of the session, a gala was held for students to show their new skills to family and friends.👏
Special thank you to Dan Wondra for providing the dance lessons!🎶

THE MISSION
Cultivating character, confidence and compassion in young people by providing fun, accessible curriculum that teaches manners, leadership and emotional intelligence for LIFE.
THE VISION
Inspiring more youth in more places to create a more respectful, thoughtful and kinder world.
"Let it begin with me."
THE REVOLUTION
The mission of Courteous Kids , and now Life Launch, is to provide fun, interactive curriculum to assist in building a continuum of competencies from basic everyday social skills to emotional intelligence, leadership and service for ages 4 through young adults. Courteous Kids/Life Launch is designed to be an affordable resource for both families and organizations serving primarily low to moderate incomes.
WHY IT MATTERS
*According to The Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention and Treatment, “there are 4 to 6 million students who are at risk for developing anti-social behaviors. No school can afford to neglect basic etiquette and social skills. Not only can etiquette programs help curb anti-social behavior, but they also teach students the skills they need to be successful in various social milieu.”
*85% of work promotions are based off of positive social skills and the ability to be a good team player.
*Fewer than half of high school students across the country feel they’re ready for college and careers (YouthTruth, 2015).
*In a study by Harvard writer and educator, Richard Weissbourd, more than 50% of teens feel it 's more important to have good grades rather than be a good person.
