She consistently raises the bar by maintaining high expectations and empowering her students to rise to meet them. Freshman Academy Team Banners! They were designed by Beth Wilson, CHS librarian, for each Freshman team. Each team is named after a CHS Hall of Famer, with words that represent their legacies and the qualities each team's students hope to strive for.

Congratulations to Jerry Slegl, a winner! Mr. Slegl has made an immediate and meaningful impact at CHS just months after joining the team. A true self-starter, Jerry consistently takes initiative—whether it’s cleaning a lunch table, adjusting room temperatures, or stepping in wherever help is needed without being asked. His resourcefulness and problem-solving were on full display when he found an online manual to safely move a broken lift during prom, demonstrating his commitment to keeping operations running smoothly.
