WGEC IS BACK! YAY!

It’s been a long four months, but our love and commitment to our UNO community have never wavered. Though we’re still waiting on our purchase requests to be approved, we couldn’t stay away any longer—we officially resumed operations last week! Keep an eye out for our office hours post!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who stood by us, supported us, and believed in our mission. As we all know, this fight is far from over, (and this fight is about to get a hell of a lot harder,) but we’re back, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of us this year.

The final SJP .unomaha x WGEC has come to an end ‼️

Over the course of our 3 workshops, 40+ t-shirts have been created raising awareness for reproductive health issues in Gaza ❤️‍🩹 a HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up as well as our guest speakers! We couldn't have done this without you! 💗🍉

Keep an eye out for our t-shirt display upcoming in December / January! More information on that as it approaches. Be sure to follow us on TikTok and .unomaha on Instagram for more updates about general events, happenings, etc.! ✨

Trust us, we know more than anyone how essential these supplies are to the student body. The division wants you to think that they aren’t dissolving us by taking our funds. But that’s exactly what they’re doing. If we continue to operate with no funds we will be left with no products and no access to our budget.

We see through their manipulative tactics and we won’t let them silence us. Join us in calling for Cathy Pettid to resign and for our monies to be reinstated.

2nd SJP x WGEC workshop completed‼️

We want to give a huge thanks to .unomaha for collaborating with us for this event, as well as for coming to talk to us about his experience as a nurse in Gaza.

Thank you everyone for your time! Be sure to come to our next and final t-shirt workshop which will be held on November 13th, 5-8 at room 308 in Milo Bail!

Our FINAL committee member to introduce is our lovely director, Jess! She does so much for our organization, including keeping the WGEC’s ties around campus, raising awareness of our organization in the community, administrative work, and more! We are so lucky to have a director who works as hard for the WGEC as Jess does!

For our second day of Week of Action for Abortion with we are here to remind you that your voice matters more than ever this November! As we approach November 5th, let’s take a stand for reproductive rights and ensure the right to abortion is protected in Nebraska’s constitution. Remember, the last day to register in person is October 25th. Let’s make history together—see you at the polls!

AND see you at our event Your Voice, Your Choice this Thursday at 5:30 to hear from Protect our Rights! 😉

Kickstarting our Week of Action for Abortion Access with an important conversation on what it means for WGEC to be ‘pro-abortion.’ Today’s discussion is just the beginning, and we encourage everyone to delve deeper into the critical necessity of abortion access.

Pro-abortion because not everyone has a choice. Tune in tomorrow to learn how you can ensure Nebraskans protect their rights to abortion.

Join us in honoring this year’s Week of Action for Abortion Access! 🌟 As one of many campuses working with we’re hosting events to raise abortion access on campuses. While most activities are virtual due to fall break, we can’t wait to see you on campus this Wednesday and Thursday.

Our next member to introduce is our assistant director, Shreeya! She helps with finances, facilitate committees, and coordinate members initiatives! We are so thankful for Shreeya and all of her hard work and dedication to the WGEC!

They work so hard to organize events, talk with other organizations, oversee our committees, and more! Shreeya and Jess are incredible people and leaders, and we are so lucky to have them at the WGEC :)

Our final post of introductions is for our AMAZING directors! They help coordinate all of our events, communicate with other organizations on campus, manage our committees, and just help the WGEC thrive! Jess and Shreeya are such good people and leaders, and we are so lucky to have them :)

First RJP workshop was a success!!!

From the turnout, to the Tatreez, & to the t-shirts, everything went amazing for our first Reproductive Health Awareness display workshop! We want to thank everyone who came as well as the collaborators who made this event happen!
