Last weekend the Nebraska Army National Guard really went all out with our Pack 324 armory tour this year! Special thanks to Sgt. Nick Driggs for putting on the best tour we’ve ever had anywhere!

Because it was a uniform check day, the scouts were able to see the soldiers in their Black Army PT uniforms, their OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) Uniforms, the old Army Blue Dress uniforms that are currently being phased out and the new Army Green Service Uniforms. The latter dress uniforms are new throwback green jackets and brown pants also known as "Pinks and Greens" due to their historical appearance.

Aside from the uniforms, Sgt. Driggs also demoed night vision googles, an infrared scope, he showed the scouts a number of military vehicles and he even dug out an old training tool that incorporated a lazer attached to the barrel of an M4 carbine and down range scenors that relayed live lazer non-projectile target shooting data back to Lazer Manksmanship Training System software to allow the scouts to experience handling military grade weapons IRL and in compliance with cub scouting programming rules. It was brilliant and the scouts loved it!!

Thank you so much Nebraska Army National Guard for your continued support of scouting. We are truly honored by how generous you are to these kids!

You guys are amazing!
