I took a few CLEP exams way back in the day when I was seeking college credit for my first degree. I actually did not have any study materials other than the library (and card catalogโEEK!). There were no specific CLEP-prep materials available years ago other than a one-page outline of what to be prepared for on each CLEP exam. I considered having my kids take a few CLEP exams at one point but ultimately decided against it...
Nonetheless, ๐ฆ๐ง๐จ๐๐ฌ offers 30 CLEP-PREP courses. I used some of their prep courses to reinforce other materials/subjects that my kids were using. It helped me identify gaps in their learning. I know many students who have successfully used ๐ฆ๐ง๐จ๐๐ฌ test-prep materials, like CLEP, in lieu of purchasing those massive 5-pound study guides. Since more than 2900 colleges accept CLEP credits, it's an easy way to say thousands of dollars, and students can begin earning college credits at age 13.

Life happens, and ๐ฆ๐ง๐จ๐๐ฌ understands that. That's why ๐ฆ๐ง๐จ๐๐ฌ lets students pause their accounts for up to 3 months at a time. Pausing or resuming your account is a breeze with just a click. We've had to hit pause at times for different reasons, and we did not need to worry about losing any progress. When my kids were ready to dive back in, they picked up right where they left off.

๐My son, who just turned 17 at the end of June, is on "summer break," but he takes his final class this fall (Capstone)...
Again, without the help of using STUDY (study.com), college would have cost us an arm and a leg - not to mention all the paperwork, applications for this/that scholarship, FASFA stuff, etc. We essentially bypassed ALL of that! STUDY not only saved us a ton of money, but the time we saved is priceless...My kids had time to work 25+ hours a week their entire high school career + earn their bachelor's degree. They both have been able to save enough $$ on their own to not only put a modest down payment on a home but to purchase a nice (new to them) car...Imagine that?! They are 17/18 years old and have postured themselves at such a young age to do this AND without the burden of any college loans. I'm so excited for their next chapter(s) in life. Hopefully, they continue to make smart choices ;-)
*This is one of Jaden's high school graduation photos. I'll post his college graduation photos once he completes his last course ;-)

๐My daughter, who turned 18 in January, completed her last class on April 27th. Her degree was conferred on July 19th...and we had a large celebration at our home this past Saturday on the 20th!
(She also graduated with a 4.0 GPA.๐คฉ)
โ
STUDY (study.com) helped us to streamline the workload and complete college on OUR timeline/pace! Further, we save so much money!
Without the help of STUDY, Reagan's 4-year bachelor's degree would have cost approximately $150,000 - $171,000. We did not have to apply for a single scholarship or merit, no 529s, no use of our Post 911/GI Bill military benefit, and no dipping into retirement or savings. At the end of the day (with some additional workarounds/finagling) it costs us approximately $4,000 out of pocket. That is NOT a typo, folks! Additionally, Reagan will likely use our Post 911/GI Bill for graduate school ;-)

๐ Eeek! It happened!!
โ
Reagan completed her bachelorโs degree on April 27th with a 4.0!
STUDY helped us position Reagan to graduate without a penny in debt, and she saved a lot of time. She didnโt even have to use a 529, any of her/our savings, no dipping into retirement, no scholarships, no use of our GI Bill, and no loans whatsoever!
โ
Now she can use her Post 911/GI Bill to fund her graduate degree (or another option) and remain debt-free! Plus, she topped off with a 4.0. So, she can essentially go to her school of choice, if she decides to earn her masterโs degree by (or before) turning 20 ;-) Weโre currently encouraging her to take a โgap year.โ

We probably had a couple hundred homeschooled high school senior graduates in the Omaha & surrounding area, but this group of seniors worked together since last August to pull off this graduation ceremony, the Senior Banquet (last month), along with monthly meetings and other informal get-togethers. Each student gave a 2-minute presentation. It was a great event; they did a swell job!

Eeek! Jaden will begin his Cornerstone class on March 4th, followed by the final Capstone to complete his bachelorโs degree. He is set to graduate on August 11th!
Again, thanks to STUDY.COM, Jaden will be debt-free upon graduation. Weโre currently working with the admissions department at a local university because he intends to continue his education. He would have approximately 13 courses to complete to earn a 2nd bachelorโs. Once he completes that coursework, he has a potential paid internship waiting for him! Thereโs no rush. We hope he takes a significant break from school for a bit before diving into a 2nd programโฆ

In about a weekโฆReagan will complete her Cornerstone course at the university! What does this mean? She begins her FINAL class on March 4th! She will complete her bachelorโs degree Capstone on April 28th!
Thanks to STUDY.COM, Reagan will be debt-free upon graduatingโฆand we never had to dip into our personal savings, retirement, nor did we have to invest in a 529, etc., to make that happen!
Weโre not sure what her next step is; she talks about heading off to graduate school to earn her masterโs degree. Weโre in no rush for her to work toward another degree โ or move away at this point.

STUDY.com made it super easy for Reagan, too, to transfer all of her credits. We did have one minor hiccup along the way, but I spoke to a STUDY manager and they expedited (via FED-EX) transcripts to the university to ensure the timeliness of our request. They did not even charge us for the FED-EX! So, I got to test out their customer service again - never disappointed!
Reagan is also enrolled in her final courses now at the partner university. She will finish about 8 weeks before Jaden. This was on purpose for a few reasons - MOSTLY because she wanted to graduate BEFORE her younger brother (who is only 16)...
Reagan completes her LAST college class on April 28th. This is funny because she graduates college with her bachelor's degree in April, but less than a week later, she will be attending her HIGH SCHOOL graduation ceremony - LOL.
She will have fun trying to explain this to folks over the years ;-) It's kinda like when we, as homeschool parents (or the homeschool student himself/herself), have a hard time explaining what "grade" our kids are in K-12. LOVE IT ;-)

STUDY.com made transferring all earned college credit easy. Jaden is currently enrolled at one of STUDY's partner universities. He has 3 courses to complete before earning his bachelor's degree. It looks like his conferment date is either the end of June or the beginning of July.
I am in the process of trying to schedule both his senior high school AND college graduation photos ;-) It looks like I cannot order his college cap and gown until March sometime. So, we'll be cutting it close!
