Hartman's focus is on preparing all students academically to acquire success.

Teachers use a variety of strategies, such as differentiation, tiered assignments, special projects, flexible grouping, compacting curriculum, and subject acceleration when necessary, so all Hartman students can reach their highest potential. Furthermore, Hartman sets high expectations for all students to be safe, responsible, and respectful citizens. These expectations are life skills that will be beneficial for all students throughout their lives.

Congratulations to our graduating 5th graders! We celebrated them with a clap-out as they left Hartman for the last time as a student. You are always welcome to come back and visit. Remember-once a Hawk, always a Hawk!
Congrats to our kindergarteners as well on completing your first year at Hartman!
Have a wonderful summer everyone, and we look forward to seeing you all in August!

We 💙 when former Hawks come back to visit! This grad came back to say hi to his kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Grier. Congrats, Chauncey! “Once a Hawk, always a Hawk!”

As we head into summer break, here are some pics of our Hawks participating in Fun and Fitness day last Friday. Thank you to Ms. Spizman for putting it all together. We will miss you next year, but know you will enjoy your well-deserved retirement!

We had some fun today with Critters Up Close! We saw a baby kangaroo, a fennec fox, capuchin monkey, and more! What a neat experience! Be sure to ask your child about the animals they got to pet!

Hartman's new Little Free Library is now open! It's located on the north side of the school, near the crosswalk. Students, families, and neighbors are welcome to take a book and/or leave a book that you have finished! Happy reading!
Thank you to the Impact Library Program and Jack and Jill, Inc. for donating this library box to our school!

As part of OPS's Moonshot goal, we will be doing an optional summer book checkout again this year, starting on May 14th. Students will be allowed to check out 2 library books to read over the summer. These books need to be returned in August when school starts again. If you do not want your child to participate, please contact me through Dojo or email at [email protected].
