Liberty Elementary School is a dynamic urban public school serving over 600 students! Welcome to Liberty Elementary, home of the "Super Stars." Mary's Avenue.

Liberty is located in the heart of downtown Omaha, Nebraska, at 2021 St. Our class sizes are ideal for small group instruction, with 18 or fewer at the primary grades (Pre-K-2), and 20 or fewer for intermediate students (3-6). Due to the updated forecast for inclement weather, Omaha Public Schools is canceling classes and school-related activities for Feb. 19, 2026. Congratulations to Mrs. Alicia, our January '30 Ways to Say Yay' honoree!

Alicia is thriving in her role supporting students in reading and math. She is extremely loving and patient with all students. She consistently shows care and understanding, responding thoughtfully to what each student needs. She has gone above and beyond in everything she does for the third-grade team, supporting both students and teachers. We strongly value her presence and would like her to stay and continue supporting teachers and nurturing our students. She has also shared that, although she does not yet speak English, she is understanding more each day.
