We are still seeking volunteers for the Fun Run. Opportunities include the water station and throwing chalk for the 4th & 5th graders color run. It's messy but oh so much fun!!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Our largest and *only* fundraiser of the year - Fun Run - is coming up!

We are looking for volunteers to help prep and support the event. There is a prep session this weekend Aug 29th at 2pm to get things started with hanging posters, decorating bulletin boards and sorting t-shirt & prizes.

For those of you that are new to Ackerman - this is our biggest and only fundraiser of the year. Boosterthon is the company that facilitates the program and it's such a positive experience. As a parent/caregiver - you'll register your student (watch for info coming from school), and share their link to collect pledges. The pledging period is about 2 weeks and it all comes together at Fun Run Day when the kids run their laps - you're encouraged to come up to school to watch and support them!

Fun Run Day = Sept 11
Grade K,1,2 will run at 1:00
Grades 3,4,5 will run at 2:15

Another school year completed!

AVT would like to send a huge thank you to every volunteer, staff member, and family member who helped make our AVT sponsored events possible. These events don’t happen by magic — they happen because people show up, pitch in, problem-solve, and care deeply about our students and community.

We’re especially grateful for the people who lead with positive intent, grace, and encouragement. Supporting a school community means understanding that volunteers are human, mistakes happen, and everyone involved is giving their time and energy because they genuinely care.

To our volunteers and staff partners: thank you for continuing to show up with kindness, patience, and teamwork. Your efforts make more of a difference than you know, and we’re lucky to have a community full of people focused on building each other up instead of tearing each other down.

We appreciate you all more than words can say. Have a safe and fun filled summer Ackerman Community ❤️

Hey Everyone!

Let’s take another look at the amazing artwork the students worked so hard on!

But first - can we stop for a second and say what an incredible team we have? Our volunteers are simply the best and this event would not have happened without them. Thank you to our teachers and staff for partnering with us and to everyone who helped with interviews, collecting artwork, making the panels and setting up/taking down the art show. Truly this event would not have been a success without you all.

We have a big week with two of our biggest events - ART SHOW and CARNIVAL!!! This night is such a great way for our community to get together. But we need your help to make it successful. Please check out the Signup Genius and volunteer for a Carnival slot if you can - it is also a great way for your kids to get involved and volunteer!

We have reached out to multiple groups and unfortunately, they are not available, but if you are part of a group/organization that wants to help out, please signup or reach out to AVT.
