Another school year completed!

AVT would like to send a huge thank you to every volunteer, staff member, and family member who helped make our AVT sponsored events possible. These events don’t happen by magic — they happen because people show up, pitch in, problem-solve, and care deeply about our students and community.

We’re especially grateful for the people who lead with positive intent, grace, and encouragement. Supporting a school community means understanding that volunteers are human, mistakes happen, and everyone involved is giving their time and energy because they genuinely care.

To our volunteers and staff partners: thank you for continuing to show up with kindness, patience, and teamwork. Your efforts make more of a difference than you know, and we’re lucky to have a community full of people focused on building each other up instead of tearing each other down.

We appreciate you all more than words can say. Have a safe and fun filled summer Ackerman Community ❤️

Hey Everyone!

Let’s take another look at the amazing artwork the students worked so hard on!

But first - can we stop for a second and say what an incredible team we have? Our volunteers are simply the best and this event would not have happened without them. Thank you to our teachers and staff for partnering with us and to everyone who helped with interviews, collecting artwork, making the panels and setting up/taking down the art show. Truly this event would not have been a success without you all.

We have a big week with two of our biggest events - ART SHOW and CARNIVAL!!! This night is such a great way for our community to get together. But we need your help to make it successful. Please check out the Signup Genius and volunteer for a Carnival slot if you can - it is also a great way for your kids to get involved and volunteer!

We have reached out to multiple groups and unfortunately, they are not available, but if you are part of a group/organization that wants to help out, please signup or reach out to AVT.

****VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY*****

We love to provide dinner to our Teachers before a big night of meetings. This year we are providing a meal on Oct 6th and 7th. On Monday the 6th we are catering the main meal, but need help with desserts and drinks. And Tuesday the 7th we will do a crowd favorite - Soup Potluck.

Please see the below sign up genius link if you'd like to contribute. We appreciate the extra time and planning from you all to make this happen! Check out the drop off directions in the sign up genius.

You will also see a couple time slots to help with dismissal. If you are there to pick up your student(s) already, we'd love the help to stand with the kids out front for a couple mins. The Teachers get about 30 mins from dismissal to eat and get ready for their first conference, so they appreciate it a lot.
