Surprise! ๐
Please join us in congratulating Mike Pacholski, the UNO's Employee of the Month for June.
HR and his School of Communication colleagues caught him off guard with a celebration, plus some well-earned perks: a travel mug, a reserved parking spot, and a $500 award.
Mike, your hard work doesn't go unnoticed!
Thank you for everything you do for the SoC. (And yes, we love the shirt.) ๐บ

Dr. Sharon Storch represented the UNO School of Communication at the Eastern Communication Association Conference, where she led an engaging panel titled โLife Isnโt Fair: The Sooner You Realize It, The Happier You Will Be.โ
The session sparked meaningful conversation about how people understand and respond to perceived unfairness in their personal and professional lives. Dr. Storch also connected with 2025 UNO graduate Eva Burklund, now at the University of Pittsburgh, who presented a short course at the conference.
Congratulations to Dr. Storch, Eva and all involved in a successful !

Congratulations to UNO School of Communication student and MavForensics team member Colin Gibbons, who placed 6th in the nation at the 152nd Interstate Oratory Association Tournament in Gainesville, Florida!๐
This photo with his coach, Amanda VonGoodrich, is especially meaningful because it captures a national-stage moment for Colin and MavForensics. Interstate Oratory is the oldest public speaking competition on the continent, and this year marked 152 years of collegiate forensics excellence.
We are so proud of Colin for his hard work, advocacy and dedication to this activity.
The School of Communication is also grateful for Professor VonGoodrichโs leadership and the steady support she gives our students as they grow, compete and shine.
๐ Congratulations, Colin!
