Congratulations to CBA Scholar, Logan Heger, and his teammates on winning the Capstone Cup!

The UNO College of Business Administration Capstone Cup is a semester-long, highly competitive experience required for all graduating students in the Corporate & Business Strategy course. This year, six CBA Scholars advanced to the finals across five different teams—an impressive achievement that highlights both their individual excellence and the strong presence of the Scholars Academy.

Congratulations to the 2024 Cohort for winning the Annual Volleyball Tournament! We hope everyone enjoyed hanging out and grabbing dinner together at Inner Rail Food Hall—and get ready for next year!

Over spring break, the 2023 cohort had the opportunity to study abroad in the United Kingdom!

In Liverpool, the group learned about the city’s history and culture through a guided tour, visited the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, toured the Jaguar Land Rover factory, and met with companies like Lucid Games and Princes Group. They also explored Everton Football Stadium and took in the views along the River Mersey.

In London, the cohort visited organizations like Lloyd’s of London, Hudl, and Laura Ashley, while also experiencing the city through a hop-on hop-off tour, a guided visit to Westminster Abbey, the National Gallery, and the London Eye.

Invite your family to attend our Year-End Celebration from 4:30 to 6PM in Mammel Hall 162. This is a great opportunity to celebrate all of your accomplishments this year and wish our senior cohort good luck!

Thousands of organizations rely on Fiserv for financial services technology and payments innovation. We appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the company and connect with their professionals.

Apply to be part of the 2026 CBA Scholars Academy Cohort! This scholarship opportunity is designed specifically for incoming freshmen at UNO College of Business Administration.

As a Scholar, you’ll gain access to unique courses, be paired with a professional mentor each year, and have the opportunity to participate in a stipend-funded study abroad trip your junior year. Scholars also receive annual scholarships ranging from $5,000 up to $17,000.

Over four years, Scholars are mentored by professionals throughout the Omaha community, take exclusive business courses taught by award-winning faculty, and gain real-world experience through community engagement, leadership development, and international travel.

Students are selected for the CBA Scholars Academy on a rolling basis. Up to 15 applicants will be interviewed via Zoom in each of the three rounds:

On November 21st, we had the opportunity to visit two influential companies with a strong footprint in Omaha.

FNBO // Scholars met with FNBO’s leadership at the downtown headquarters, where they learned about the interesting history of FNBO and toured the building.

LinkedIn // Scholars toured the Omaha LinkedIn office, explored the importance of key features within their existing LinkedIn accounts, and gained insight into the benefits of working at a global leader in professional networking.
