We have exciting news! On July 21, 2021, Arts in Motion(AiM) will officially merge with WhyArts Inc. All programming will continue under the WhyArts banner going forward.
WhyArts was founded in 1990 to provide Omaha's underserved populations with access to inclusive, quality arts programming. Its programs are built on the philosophy that each individual, no matter their circumstances, has unlimited creative potential. They offer arts programming in multiple disciplines, including a new Across the Floor project developed in partnership with AiM to inspire movement in people with disabilities. This collaboration was the initial spark that led to the merger as we realized how similar both organizations were in purpose and priorities.
Both organizations are merging from positions of strength, and combining forces will let us take all of our collective programs to exciting new levels and many more places, serving more people in our community.
