Thank you to all the parents and guardians who attended parent teacher conferences these last two days! It was nice to see all the families so supportive of their students! Hopefully you also were able to see our full school art project as you walked down History Hall. Thank you to Mrs. Gollehon for organizing and arranging this beautiful mural. It truly encompasses our district theme of being the one!

CONGRATULATIONS to Oakdale kindergarten teacher extraordinaire, Julie Carruthers! Today, the rest of the world found out how special she is - something we already knew. Julie was one of two Westside teachers to receive the Phillip and Terri Schrager Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award. We are so proud of you, Julie, and thrilled that we get to work with you every day. Congratulations!

Thank you to the Westside Warrior Theater students for coming to Oakdale today and performing some Readers Theater scenes from some classic fairy tales and books. The K-2 students LOVED it! You are all AWESOME!

Another successful Donuts with a Grown Up event this morning at Oakdale Elementary - District 66. We even had to run to get more donuts and ended up going through 17 dozen donuts! Students, tell Mr. Jagels how many donuts that equals to be entered into a drawing for a gift card on Monday. It was exciting to see so many parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends, and students at this standing room only event. Thank you to the Oakdale Elementary Community Club for organizing and hosting!

Oakdale students celebrated the 100th day of school by participating in activities themed around the number 100! Some students were even able to celebrate with their classroom buddies. It's always a fun time when we hit the 100th day!
