One of the hardest decisions as horse owners that has to be made- Tony and JoDee had to make that today. Please take a moment to read:
In Loving Memory of Daisy
Victory Riding Academy’s Founding Horse
Some horses come into our lives and leave hoofprints on our hearts. Daisy did that and so much more.
Daisy was Victory Riding Academy’s Founding Horse, there from the beginning and forever a part of the foundation on which Victory was built. Before the countless lessons, friendships, smiles, and memories that would follow, there was Daisy.
Daisy and JoDee shared an extraordinary journey. They completed college together through Global Equine Academy, beginning a partnership that would grow into something far greater than horse and rider. They shared a bond built on trust, love, understanding, and years of experiences side by side.
Daisy had a remarkable gift for people. She was patient, kind, steady, and seemed to understand when someone needed a little extra reassurance. She was wonderful with clients and held a particularly special place in her work with Veterans. Daisy didn't care about someone's past, their struggles, or what kind of day they were having. She simply met people where they were and offered the quiet acceptance that only a special horse can give.
Most of all, Daisy loved people and people loved Daisy.
For JoDee, though, Daisy was something even more. Their connection was one of those rare bonds that words can never fully capture. They grew together, learned together, worked together, and walked through many chapters of life side by side.
It seems only fitting that JoDee and Daisy had a song of their own: “Stuck Like Glue.”
Because that is exactly what they were.
Through college, through the beginning of Victory Riding Academy, through the lives they touched and all the years and memories in between, JoDee and Daisy were stuck like glue.
Daisy's work is finished now, but her legacy isn't.
It lives in Victory Riding Academy.
It lives in every client she patiently carried and hugged.
It lives in the Veterans who found comfort in her just presence.
It lives in the people who smiled because of her.
And it will always live in JoDee's heart.
Victory Riding Academy began with a very special horse.
Her name was “Daisy.”
She was our founding horse, our teacher, our partner, our friend, and a beautiful reminder of just how much one horse can change the lives of so many.
