Omaha Conservatory of Music is a non-profit 501(c)(3)school that grows learners from music curiosity to artistic mastery through classical training methods and mentorship. The Conservatory currently provides individual lessons in violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, guitar, voice, trumpet, trombone, ukulele, clarinet, flute, piccolo and oboe as well as conducting, music composition, and theory. Our

outstanding artist-faculty challenges and inspires a student body of over 800 conservatory musicians and touches the lives of countless others through special programs. In addition to individual lessons, our musical community offers a rich variety of classes, interaction with guest artists, ensemble experiences, educational workshops, solo and group performances, and other unique opportunities in collaboration with arts organizations throughout the city.

A full-circle moment this weekend! 🎻

Frontier Strings, an ensemble of some of our most experienced strings students, shared the stage with a few String Sprouts students, young musicians who are at the very beginning of their musical journeys.

What made it extra special? Many of our Frontier Strings students started out as Sprouts themselves years ago. Today, some have even returned to String Sprouts as Assistant Teachers, helping the next generation learn and grow.

From first notes to performances, leadership, and even a first job in music, we love seeing our students grow up at OCoM and give back along the way. 🌱Many thanks to CRCC Big Dreams for inviting us to perform at their festival!

Is your child always singing around the house? This fall is the perfect time to help them turn that curiosity into confidence.

We're excited to introduce two new vocal classes:
🎤 Voice Soundchecks – a fun, themed introductory class for new singers
🎵 A Ca****la Ensemble – for students ready to harmonize and grow together

At OCoM, we believe music helps young people grow, build confidence, and learn they can do hard things.

Tuneful Tots at the Conservatory is tailor-made for children age 0-4 years old and their Caregiver! Tuneful Tots uses repetition of fun rhymes and songs to lay the foundation for speaking and reading, along with interactive games that are sure to put a smile on the faces of parents and children alike.

Our Chamber Ensembles program provides a structured coaching, rehearsal, and performance experience that facilitates high-level chamber music collaboration among students.

**NEW: Piano students invited to join!**

Participants learn how to be independent musicians while working with their peers to foster cooperation and teamwork. The experience is pedagogically sequenced to fit the playing levels of all participants, and students are grouped by playing level and age. Students prepare repertoire for class recitals.

Chamber Ensembles includes 30 minutes of coaching, plus a 30-minute rehearsal room reservation (in the same coaching space). Students will be placed in an ensemble based on their playing level, as determined by the audition.

Soundcheck is a themed 4-week introduction to singing where students explore 3–6 songs in a supportive group setting.

Designed for beginners, this class builds foundational vocal skills, confidence, and a love of exploring and performing, with differentiation to meet students where they are. Each month is a different theme, so come back to see what songs we explore next!
