At one point, there were two guys named Don Scott in our class. Today we mourn the classmate who went to Harrison Elementary and Lewis and Clark with many of us. An obit from Omaha says he died Friday after a battle with cancer. This Don was with us into the junior year at Benson, and then graduated from Ryan. He later became an ophthalmologist with a practice in Omaha. His parents, Bill and Ruth Scott, have been generous benefactors for many Nebraska charities. The obit says Don continued that tradition.
