Congratulations to Moises T! This summer Moises earned his The FAA Part 107 certification and is now a licensed Drone Pilot! He also earned the highest rating of any student who has gone through the program! This bulldog is ready to gain some professional experience!

Congratulations to senior Alison L who soloed this week and is now a pilot!! Early aviators once communicated by pulling on the back of each others shirts! Per tradition Alison had the back of her shirt cut to symbolize she can fly in her own! Burke High School Omaha Public Schools

Last month, A&S Academy & Omaha Burke H.S. Alumni, Thomas Reid spoke at our pinning ceremony welcoming incoming sophomores. This month, as a member of aviationuno & the flight team, Thomas came out at the National Champion in Instrument Flight at the Aviation Nationals Colegiate competition!

As of this afternoon, the teachers of the Air & Space Academy have met their goal of sending a personalized and hand written post card to every student in the Academy to showcase and recognize when they display the Burke values of Loyalty, Integrity, & Honor! ☀️

Aviation 1/2, Aviation Maintenance 1/2 & Aviation History Students had a fantastic time touring the ! Students had the opportunity to see history coursework come to life! Highlights included the SR-71, F-117 Nighthawk, B-25 Mitchell, and Apollo Capsule! Super shoutout to the SAC Museum for an amazing experience!
