We had so much fun attending the 92nd NSRT Annual Conference with our senior class!

Our seniors competed in a student bee and attended various luncheons and educational speaker sessions in addition to networking with other radiography programs from across the state of Nebraska!

Our senior radiologic technology students and faculty members attended the annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) convention in Chicago. RSNA offers exciting new learning opportunities and a chance to see the latest technology in the imaging field. Attending this event is one more way we prepare our students for a successful career!

For some educational summer fun, the CHI Health School of Radiologic Technology students and faculty went behind the scenes at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium! We toured behind-the-scenes in the Center for Conservation and Research to learn about the work our zoo is doing to provide care for all kinds of different animals. It was a fascinating experience learning how medical care and medical imaging can be similar in zoological care!

The CHI Health School of Radiologic Technology is proud to announce that seniors Laura Bogonko and Melanie Boucher have been selected as the two participants to represent Nebraska for the 2023 American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Student to Leadership Development Program!

The ASRT SLDP is a three-year program that gives students the chance to attend educational sessions and network with medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals. Laura is excited to learn more about the larger world of health imaging, especially the legal and legislative issues that affect imaging, and Melanie is looking forward to networking and leadership development! Congratulations, Laura and Melanie!

As part of a statewide student effort, our Senior Student Representative, Chelsey King, led the CHI Health School of Radiologic Technology students to collect non-perishable foods to benefit the MICAH House. They collected items throughout the metro CHI Health hospitals and were able to donate 268 non-perishable food items! Thank you to all who generously donated!
