While two BT Robotics teams continued to work on their rebuilds, three other teams competed at the Central High School Robotics Tournament. 1028B and 1028X are two teams of all 9th graders. They are quickly acclimating to high school robotics and are more competitive every tournament. Both teams made the Elimination Tournament, but lost in the Round of 16. 1028A, made up of veteran juniors and seniors did a bit better. They were the overall 1st seed and chose . They battled through a tough semifinal and then final, to win the tournament. They also won Skills and got their first Excellence of the season. BT teams will next be in action at Concordia HS on Nov. 22nd.

BT Robotics had a great time at the UNO VEX Robotics Tournament today. All five high school teams were in action and all five made the elimination tournament. 1028T was the overall 5th seed and 1028B was the 8th seed both lost in the Quarterfinals. 1028R and 1028X battled all the way to the semifinals before falling. 1028A posted a state lead g Skills score and were awarded the Amaze Award and teamed up with to win the tournament. Congratulations to for winning Excellence. We are looking forward to hosting the BT Tournament next weekend!!

This past weekend two of our High School teams 1028A and 1028Z competed at Mecha Mayhem in Calgary, Canada. It was an absolutely amazing experience! Our students met and competed with some of the best competition we have faced yet this year. Both teams got 2nd interviews and both teams made the elimination rounds in their respective divisions. 1028Z went 8-2 with 21 win points and was the 4th seed alliance captain. They chgose . They made it all the way to the division semi finals, but sadly their day ended there. 1028A went 7-3 and were chosen by 16610A Snacky Cakes to form the 2nd seed. These two teams performed as if they had worked together all year! They won the Prairies Divsion after a battle with two of the best and .tenton in the division finals. This alliance then played .229v and in the Grand Finals. After the dust settled on 3 great matches, 1028A and 16610A came up just short. Congratulations to the winners and .229v on the Excellence Award! I could not be more proud of the resiliency of our teams and our students. They are already working to be just a little bit better for the next tournament and the next opportunity to show what they can do! Four HS teams will be in action this Saturday at The Last Ride at Concordia HS.

What a fun day at the Concordia Robotics tournament today. All the teams competed and problem solved their way all through the finals. 1028Y got the Innovate Award and 1028G got Runner Up in Skills with their best run of the whole year. 1028G and 1028H combined to form the 2seed but lost in the Quarterfinals. 1028J picked 1028Y and they won the tournament! The girls of 1028G came out with the ultimate award though winning g the Excellence Award for an overall fantastic day!! Great job BT Robotics. Middle School and High School will be in action next week.

The BT Middle School and HS robotics teams were in action this weekend...even with the black ice on Friday night. 😫
The Middle school teams did great with 1028H getting 2nd in skills, 1028Y getting the Innovate Award, 1028J got the Amaze Award and won the tournament with 3141R from Gross. 1028H got runner up.
On the High School side, there were two divisions. Brownell Talbot had all four teams on four different alliances in the finals of both divisions! In the end 1028A won the Gold division over 1028T, but lost to 1028Z. 1028Z beat 1028B in the Blue division and again won the whole thing!

All BT Robotics teams were in action this weekend. The Middle School teams competed at Norris Middle School and the High School teams at Concordia HS. Our documentation teams don’t often get the credit they drive teams do, so we are starting off with the Excellence and Design Award winners! 1028A - Excellence, 1028T - Design and in the Middle School 1028G - Design! A ton of time and effort goes into documenting all the designs and following the Design Process. Great jobs teams! 1028Z also scored 90 points in Skills and is now #1 in the State of NE, with 1028A 2nd. On the tournament side the Middle School teams had a great day! 1028Y was chosen by and they won the tournament! 1028H and 1028J were runners up! Back over on the High School side, 1028X was the 11th seed captain, but lost in the Round of 16. 1028T chose old friends but lost by 1 point in the Quarterfinals. 1028Z was chosen by and lost in the Semifinals. Finally, 1028A was chosen by . Congratulations to for winning the Judges Award. Congratulations to and for winning the Concordia Tournament. Everyone will be competing at the Omaha North Tournament on Friday and Saturday next week!

All five BT Robotics teams were in action today at the Antler Wolf Storm Classic Robotics Tournament. 1028A and 1028Z went 1 and 2 in skills. They both continue to put up big numbers in skills and are still ranked 1st and 2nd in the state. 1028T got their 1st award for High School grabbing the Judges Award. 1028X was the 14th seed alliance captain but sadly lost in the round of 16. 1028T was chosen by but lost a thrilling semi final match to and . The other semifinal match was won by who was picked by . 1028A and Lechuga went on to win the tournament and 1028A won the Excellence Award. Congratulations to on the Design and for the Innovate Award. We look forward to competing in Harrisburg SD next weekend! Home of ! Lots of work to do in a short week!

Four BT Robotics teams competed at the first tournament of the 24-25 season at the Mall of America Signature Event. We had 8 Qualification matches. 1028T Toxic and 1028Z The Company did well, but against high quality teams did not make the Elimination tournament. 1028B was seeded 13th and chose 1028A as their partner. They battled and made it all the way to the finals! They upset the 4th and 5th seeds and then won a close one vs. the 9th seed. Ultimately and were just a little too much. Congratulations to them for tournament champs! Also congratulations to .229v for Excellence! Also shout out to our Nebraska brothers for winning the Innovate Award. Don’t ever give up…not even if you are in last place. Keep working and keep battling!

Congratulations to Francesca from team Francesca has designed, built and driven robots, but most recently has been done CAD work and documentation. Francesca was also President of JuSTEMagine and done outreach for STEM education including lobbying for STEM funding. Francesca has also had a hand in 3 VEX Worlds trophies, the Community Award, Amaze and Design Awards. Francesca will be continuing her education at Stanford University studying Aerospace Engineering. We wish Francesca all the best!

BT’s Middle School Robotics teams have been competing at the in Dallas, TX. We have been making new friends and hanging out with old friends ! 1028J and 1028Y both went 3-7 but had a great time and are excited for next year. 1028T went 7-3 and had 3 extra win points that made them the 14th seed. They chose 3141R and pulled off a big upset to beat the 3 seed. Sadly, they lost in the quarterfinals, but they played really well and will make a splash next year in High School!

BT High School teams 1028A and 1028Z competed at the CREATE US Open in Council Bluffs, IA this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 1028Z was selectived to the 12th seed but unfortunately lost to the Division Champions and . 1028Z had a tough schedule, but they gained valuable experience at this large tournament. 1028A took a very new robot to this tournament, so skills were a little rough, but it competed very well with only a few minor modifications. They got three interviews and came away with the Amaze Award! Then things got interesting. They ended as the 3rd seeded team in the Orange Division and were selected by 38H to form the 1st seed. They played great competition, but eventually made it all the way to the finals and came out on top! Congratulations to and 3457C on Division finalists. Great match! Then they faced the Green Division Champions. and . With an awesome last second hang they were able to win that match and move on to the finals!! We had a bit of bad luck though and couldn’t get the win. Congratulations to and on the win! also got Skills and set the World record in skills! And got the Excellence Award! Amazing robots and amazing kids! It was such a fun and exciting weekend! Thank you to all that support BT Robotics! We take a bit of a break now to prepare for the VEX World Championships in April!
