What a fantastic start to our Mercy Alumnae Happy Hour series!
We had an incredible turnout for our first gathering, with alumnae from the classes of 1977 through 2020 coming together to reconnect, share stories, and create new memories. It was so fun to see generations of Mercy women enjoying each other's company and strengthening the bonds that make our alumnae community so special.
A special thank you to Jill Edmonds Baird '06 and The Bohemian for hosting our very first happy hour and helping make the evening such a success!
We can't wait to do it again next month. Stay tuned for details on our next opportunity to reconnect with fellow Mercy alumnae! 💙💛

Congratulations to two of our Mercy girls, Bianca Gomez and Yamilet Hernandez, for being selected as Archbishop’s Scholars Student Ambassadors for the 2026–2027 school year!
This special honor recognizes students who exemplify leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to their school community. We are so proud of these young women and excited to see them represent Mercy in this important role throughout the coming year.
Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement!

Our first Mercy Alumnae Book Club pick is The Three Lives of Cate Kay by Kate Fagan — a recent Reese’s Book Club selection.
Part mystery, part coming-of-age story, and part Hollywood drama, the novel follows a bestselling author who has spent years hiding her true identity after a tragedy changed the course of her life forever. As her carefully constructed world begins to unravel, she’s forced to confront old friendships, ambition, regret, and the question of who she really wants to be. This should be a great book to discuss!

Big shoutout to Meg Latka Peters ‘04, who taught these incredible Mercy girls in their CNA class this year!
It’s remarkable to have a CNA program at any high school, but to have so many students successfully pass their exams is incredible! Way to go Meg and Mercy girls!!!
Big things are happening in our CNA program! 🎉 All 7 Mercy students passed the skills portion of their state licensing exam, and the 5 students who have already completed the written exam have all passed too. We are cheering on the final 2 students as they prepare to test soon!
From classroom learning to clinicals at Methodist Hospital, these students showed dedication, professionalism, and so much hard work all semester long.
And a special thank you to their teacher, Mercy alum Meg Peters ’04, for leading and supporting this amazing group of future healthcare professionals. 💙
