Last Day of School Celebration

The Gretna Public Schools Transportation Department enjoyed a wonderful last day of school breakfast as we wrapped up another successful school year.

We also celebrated the retirement of three incredible drivers:

Field Day fun!

Congratulations to the fifth grade. They put on an amazing "Night of Memories" program!

Gretna Public Schools Summer Libraries are opening at locations across the district this summer. Families are invited to stop by to check out books, encourage summer reading, and stay connected with their school communities.

Carter, in Mrs. Hamann's 1st grade class, was nominated by Artsonia to be selected for the Artists of the week on their website. Twelve finalists were selected throughout the United States. Carter's won in the K-2 category! Carter received a plaque with his artwork on it as well as a $50 gift card! Congratulations, Carter!

High Touch High Tech visited Palisades last Friday. The students had a great time exploring the scientific world with Jellyfish Jen; invertebrates in kindergarten, sound in first grade, and tectonic plates/ volcanoes in 2nd grade. Thank you HIgh Touch High Tech and Jellyfish Jen!

You will soon receive mail from the Gretna Public School District regarding the annual census. Please complete it as soon as possible upon receipt.

The good news is you don’t have to wait for the mail! You can complete the GPS Census using any of the following convenient options:
✔ Going directly to the form https://tinyurl.com/mprxjsxs
✔ Scanning the QR code
✔ Returning the postcard sent in the mail
✔ Visiting www.gpsne.org and selecting “GPS Census”
✔ NEW: Dropping off your completed postcard at the district office or any Gretna Public Schools building

The census is an important part of district planning and enrollment projections. We appreciate your participation and continued support of our schools.
