🎉 Students are back! First day of school at Omaha Street School! 🙌

We kicked off the new school year by building connections, getting prepared, and introducing students to what learning looks like at OSS.

Students worked together on a team-bonding project, set up their accounts, and learned more about our project-based learning approach, including both our entrepreneurial and vocational tracks.

📚 Classroom Volunteer Needed! Do you enjoy interacting with students and want to make a meaningful difference?

Omaha Street School is looking for a dependable volunteer to assist the instructor in our Leadership and Marketing classroom.

🗓 Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays
⏰ 10:45 AM to 12:15 PM
⌛ 90 minutes each day

This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage students, support their learning and make a lasting impact!

Omaha Street School is running low on supplies as we prepare to welcome students back on August 19.

You can help by:

📦 Dropping off supplies at Omaha Street School: 3223 N. 45th Street, Bldg H

💛 Donating so we can purchase needed items (give at omahastreetschool.com)

Our greatest needs include paper products, disinfectant wipes, hand soap, sanitizer, and trash bags.

For many of our students, the biggest difference isn't made by one big gift. It's made by someone who chooses to show up... every single month.

We're looking for 20 Workplace Volunteers who will commit to making a recurring monthly gift before school begins on August 15.

The idea is simple:
🧡 1 hour of your work = $25/month
🧡 2 hours = $50/month
🧡 4 hours = $100/month

It's not about the amount.

It's about showing up consistently.

GAP U is a FREE, 3-day-a-week transitional program open to all Omaha-area high school graduates—designed to equip you with hands-on training, life skills, and a career path in healthcare.

🗓 Fall 2026: August 31 - October 5
🕘Morning Program – 3 Days a Week

📍 2 Days/Week: Practical Nursing Program at Fulton Homes Education Center
📍 1 Day/Week: Life skills + nursing training at Omaha Street School, along with visits to local hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities to gain firsthand insight into healthcare careers and workplace expectations

🎓 Graduate with your CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) by December

💰 Receive a $300 bonus for completing the program!
