Spring Lake Elementary

There is still a lot happening at Spring Lake this summer. June 1-July 17 we will serve meals to children 1-18 years old through the Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast will be served 8:30-9:00am and lunch will be served 12:00-12:30pm each weekday. Our School as Hub staff are also busy planning and hosting some fun events. Today our third grade students planted ten new trees as part of the Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. Trees for Tomorrow School Program. Students spent most of this semester learning about the importance of trees in our community. They even helped select some of the trees that were planted today! We are excited to add these new trees to the Spring Lake tree canopy for all in our community to enjoy!

Hoy, nuestros estudiantes de tercer grado plantaron diez árboles nuevos como parte del programa escolar «Trees for Tomorrow» de Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. Los estudiantes dedicaron la mayor parte de este semestre a aprender sobre la importancia de los árboles en nuestra comunidad. ¡Incluso ayudaron a seleccionar algunos de los árboles que se plantaron hoy! ¡Estamos entusiasmados de incorporar estos nuevos árboles a la cubierta arbórea de Spring Lake para el disfrute de toda nuestra comunidad!

Book Blast contributions help ensure all our students receive books. After your student earns all 10 books from the book list, additional contributions help provide more books for all our students, classrooms, and the library. Plus there’s still a chance to be entered into the Disney trip giveaway!

Our health office is in need of spare clothing. If you have any extra cold-weather clothing in children sizes, especially pants, we would gladly take them.
