As we begin this school year, Central High Choirs are beyond excited to announce that two of our ensembles have been invited to perform at professional conferences this year. A Ca****la has been chosen to be a performing ensemble at the Nebraska Music Education Association conference held in Lincoln in November. Central High School Singers has been selected as an insight choir for the national American Choral Directors' Association conference in Minneapolis in March. We embrace these rare opportunities to showcase our singers and anticipate a rewarding year of learning as we prepare for them. To the A Ca****la singers from 25-26 and the CHS Singers from 23-24, 24-25, and 25-26, thank you for your incredible hard work that yielded recordings which were selected for these prestigious honors. To all of our friends, family, alumni, and supporters: thank you for your support, and we hope you'll cheer us on at a concert this year!

A Ca****la and CHS Singers both earned Superior (1*) ratings at District Music Contest, with Bel Canto earning an Excellent (2) rating. But what is most impressive about these singers is that they accomplished this just a week after an incredible (but grueling) trip to Chicago, a concert in Lincoln two weeks ago, and countless other performances and opportunities this year! A Ca****la even took time in between performances at DMC to honor to legacy of Anne Frank at a special ceremony at the College of Saint Mary yesterday. It is nice to get the ratings which reflect our hard work and musicianship, but the true value of what we do lies in the way music touches lives and brings people together. Congratulations to all of the performers at District Music Contest! You are wonderful musicians and exemplary humans.

Led by Founding Artistic Director, Dr. Alexander Lloyd Blake, Tonality features vocalists from the Greater Los Angeles Area who represent diverse cultures, ethnicities, and experiences. Their mission is to inspire, innovate, and spark social change through the power of diversity. In America Will Be, Tonality invites us to look toward a more perfect union for ourselves and future generations. The Omaha Central High School A Ca****la Choir will offer a prelude performance.
