The Student Leadership Office is celebrating International Women's Day with a presentation at 5pm in Hillmer by Marisa Mathews, the Director of Student Leadership and Inclusive Programming. The topic is intersectionality.

What is intersectionality? Why is it important? How has it been lacking, historically? How do we apply this theory to what we see in the world? These are all questions that we will be discussing later today in Hillmer. Light snacks will be provided!

🏢 Women Who Built Omaha
📍 12 – 1 p.m. in Gross

Dr. Eileen Wirth is coming to campus to speak about her book, The Women Who Built Omaha. She is a professor emeritus of journalism at Creighton University and is an author specializing in Omaha history. She was a reporter at the World-Herald and a PR Writer for Union Pacific before joining Creighton in 1991. Eileen’s books include The Women Who Built Omaha, The Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, and From Society Page to Front Page Nebraska Women in Journalism. She is a member of three area journalism Halls of Fame and has been active in numerous groups, particularly the Omaha Public Library.

📅 Influential Women Letter Writing Campaign: Starts March 1 and ends March 17
💕 Write a letter of appreciation to an influential woman, or women, in your life. There will be baskets in Lozier, Madonna, and the Commons with paper and envelopes for you to write and address a letter, and the Student Leadership Office will mail them for free! If they are on-campus, please write that on the envelope, and we will hand deliver them.

College of Saint Mary is hosting the first annual Flames Got Talent!

Flames Got Talent is a talent show, showcasing various talents from students, faculty, and staff. Anyone in the CSM community can sign up to showcase their talent or come and watch. Flames Got Talent is on Tuesday March 28th from 4pm - 6pm in Gross Auditorium. Popcorn and snacks provided - oh, and did we mention there will be panel of judges? Yes! There will be several categories to award the best talent of CSM and the chance to win some prizes and awards.

Campus Activities Board and Honorable African/African-American Leadership Organization invite you to join TONIGHT at 8pm for Late Night Appetizers & Karaoke in the Dining Hall!

Enjoy some appetizers like wings, spinach artichoke dip, and onion rings and show off your singing skills with some karaoke! In celebration of Black History Month, HAALO will also showcase the meaning behind some popular Hip-Hop songs and how they relate to civil rights movements.
