“I will be attending college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I will be studying Computer Science. Central means a lot to me as I met many of my friends there and had amazing classes that helped me learn what I want to do with my Career. I would like to thank Mr. Franta and Mr. Vasa for being amazing teachers and for providing a space where I could meet new people and have fun.”

Jodi Dierks came to Omaha Central in 1999 to be the head volleyball coach and a Special Education teacher. She went on to coach golf, become the BMIT Department Chair, and is now the Asst. Principal for Activities at CHS.

Introducing our 2026 recipient of the Dickerson, Fletcher, McWilliams, and Mary Grube Wahl (1967) Scholarships, Iladia!🦅

"I will be attending the University of Nebraska- Lincoln this fall, there I plan to major in Secondary Education with a focus in Biology.
First I want to send my appreciation to all of the teachers and staff at Central who encouraged me to achieve more and inspired me to pursue education as a career.
Centrals warm environment encouraged me to express my culture and explore my own identity, I will always be thankful for the diverse community of people I found.
A special thanks to Mrs. Todalen for always lifting my spirits, Dr. CFC who always seemed to be there at the right time, Mr. Ganley who encouraged me to be myself more and Mrs. Kawecki who was always there with support and care for all who needed her."

After 10 years of service as our Finance Manager, we'd like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Joanne Wagner Givens, CHS Class of 1968. 💜

Her dedication, kindness, and friendship have touched the lives of so many alumni, students, and colleagues. The difference she has made cannot be measured, and her steady presence, caring spirit, and commitment to our mission have been a blessing to our office and community.

As she begins a new chapter, we celebrate all she has given and wish her happiness, good health, and many blessings ahead.

You will always be family to us, Joanne. Thank you for everything. 🦅
