Reminder: With the College World Series taking place, there will be significantly more visitors and activity around campus and throughout the surrounding area. Please be mindful of your surroundings, allow extra time for travel, and expect heavier traffic and pedestrian congestion in popular areas.

Whether you're walking, driving, biking, or using public transportation, stay alert and avoid distractions. If you're out late, travel with friends when possible and make use of available campus safety resources.

Let's all do our part to help keep our campus community safe and welcoming while we host visitors for this exciting event. Stay aware, be considerate of others, and have a safe and enjoyable week.

Today, we celebrate the retirement of our Overnight Manager, Al Schutt, after more than 37 years of dedicated service to our campus.

Since May 20, 1988, he has spent countless nights helping to keep our campus safe and secure. Through decades of change, his commitment to our campus community remained constant, and his contributions have left a lasting impact on our institution.

As he begins this new chapter, we want to express our sincere gratitude for his years of service, dedication, and hard work. His presence will be missed, and we are thankful for all he has done throughout his career.

Please join us in congratulating him on his retirement and wishing him happiness, good health, and many wonderful years ahead. πŸ’™
