Just a little reminder about choosing trainers/coaches wisely. Not everyone has the same education, same goal as a trainer, and not every coach invests into their clients in the same way. It’s way too easy to come up with cookie-cutter programming that is one size fits all these days.

As much as mobility and stretch therapy is physical, I really can’t stress enough the importance of getting yourself to a better place mentally. The two go hand in hand, every single day. The last few days I have had many conversations with clients and friends about “it’ll get better when…” or “I will be able to when…” And listen, while some circumstances are out of our own control the majority actually are within our power to change. And if you’re always waiting for things to be “better” to be able to be happy, you’ll never get to that place of happiness because there will ALWAYS be something else… a new hurdle, a new circumstance. That is just one of the guarantees of life, that you’ll always have challenges and choices. So yes, stop waiting for everything to be perfect in order for you to allow yourself to be happy. Life is way too short and your mind and body will thank you for it.

I am so grateful for everyone who supported this journey starting in the last year and everyone who has been reaching out to start working with me. Exciting new things are under development for the upcoming year and I am so excited to keep helping you all with becoming the best versions of yourself, whether it’s through personal fitness training, stretch therapy or a simple conversation.

Stay strong and mobile.
With a wrist injury I had to modify the upper body workout today. Spider crawls are a fantastic way to recruit the shoulder capsule and upper back. They can also be done on the floor in a push-up position depending on strength and mobility.
I am still taking new clients for 1:1 stretching sessions at Premier Combat Center.

Assisted stretching versus doing static stretching by yourself:
Assisted stretching is beneficial not only for athletes, but people with sedentary lifestyles as well. We are seeing rounded shoulders and upper back humps everywhere because of the positions we spend most of our day in. With the help of a trained professional your body can get into deeper, more intense stretches. Your posture can improve, and you’ll see an increase in flexibility and range of motion. The methodical movements of the joints and muscles contribute to an improvement in recovery as well.
I am currently taking on new clients for one on one training as well as booking assisted stretch appointments.
